Anyone watching? It is hilarious! It is unusual for me to laugh out loud when watching TV. smile

Ana Sat 31-Dec-16 18:48:57

Oh, me too!

Doubly funny as DD and I took my two GDs to see it at the theatre {as a pantomime} the other day and it was actually quite boring, although the girls liked it.

I was wiping my eyes after the 'out of the window' flying scene! grin

The two minutes I saw when I first switched on was enough thanks.
Two guys making grunting noises at each other tchconfused

This was fabulous!!

POGS Sat 31-Dec-16 19:39:28

Taped it so will give it a go.

I am just catching up with Terry Pratchetts second 2 parter, The Colour of Magic. I enjoyed the Hogfather over Christmas. Going Postal taped and ready to go for viewing tomorrow.

I love David Jason in anything he does though.

Laughed till my cheeks ached!

loopylou Sat 31-Dec-16 19:47:31

I loved it! Will watch it again on i-player if I can.

Ana Sat 31-Dec-16 19:50:12

Like shysal, I hardly ever laugh out loud at tv programmes, but I couldn't stop! Tears were pouring down my cheeks - best fun I've had all Christmas! grin

Haven't watched it yet, but recorded it. We saw the stage play of, 'The Play that went wrong' and thoroughly enjoyed that.

Badenkate Sat 31-Dec-16 21:03:12

We really enjoyed it as well. I rarely laugh out loud at the TV, but I had tears running down my face at times tchwink

Deedaa Sat 31-Dec-16 21:20:50

I've got it recorded to enjoy later.

Ana Sat 31-Dec-16 21:29:58

ninathenana, I agree that bit was silly, but the rest was wonderful!

BlueBelle Sat 31-Dec-16 22:10:45

Watched 5 minutes and turned it off perhaps I didn't give it a fair chance but it looked dead daft the bit I saw

joannapiano Sat 31-Dec-16 22:13:08

Have just watched it. Goodness it made me laugh!

petra Sun 01-Jan-17 11:05:49

Wonderful, British humour at its absolute best.

DaphneBroon Sun 01-Jan-17 13:21:37

Daft is good Blue Belle grin

kittylester Sun 01-Jan-17 13:48:53

I loved it! I put it on in the kitchen as an antidote to flipping football and was not expecting much but found it really silly and hilarious!

fiorentina51 Sun 01-Jan-17 14:51:32

I've been in a few Am Dram productions that have been peppered with very similar incidents....including setting fire to the stage.?

BlueBelle Sun 01-Jan-17 14:55:39

Absolutely Daphne ....the bit I saw didn't pull me in to watch more, so my loss as everyone else seemed to agree with you but then I hated the carry on films so if it was good British deftness maybe I m just not built for it

Now I watched Miranda last night and found it absolutely hilarious

Deedaa Sun 01-Jan-17 20:23:58

fiorentina51 I have also had some "interesting" experiences in Am Dram - the collapsing bed in The Lion in Winter was a good one tchgrin DH watched a bit and was unimpressed but I laughed myself silly. And I loved poor David Suchet was wonderful, I loved the Poirot bit!

I'm obviously missing something, but I've always thought Miranda is just stupid.

Ana Sun 01-Jan-17 20:48:16

I don't know why I found it so funny, I hate any sort of slapstick-style comedy usually - I think the way the actors kept straight faces and 'carried on' regardless just made it!

Luckygirl Sun 01-Jan-17 20:51:13

Which channel was it on please - sounds as though I should give it a go!

Jayanna9040 Sun 01-Jan-17 20:53:30

Recorded it and just finished watching. We screamed with laughter! BBC 1 I think.

Luckygirl Sun 01-Jan-17 20:54:25

Just found it on the Roku - fingers crossed!

Having been in dire local Pantos (so bad we were good) I really enjoyed this....However, it takes real talent to get it this wrong....the timing alone was masterly, as to David Suchet hamming it up......adorable!!
Also, I suddenly realised how it good it was when I found myself really worrying that one or other of the actors might have actually hurt themselves!
