Anyone watching? It is hilarious! It is unusual for me to laugh out loud when watching TV. smile

DD and I went to see Matthew Bourne's brilliant The Red Shoes last night. A wonderful production but I kept wondering what the Peter Pan Goes Wrong version would be like grin

I saw this with friends at the Apollo in London on Saturday and we all fell about, especially in the first half. My wife and I watched a recording on TV last night and found it funny too. It was better at the theatre but the drinks were cheaper at home!

I loved this, especially after seeing a 'straight' production of Peter Pan and not enjoying it that much. I am looking forward to watching it again. Is there any way I can record it now? The way Wendy maintained her serious demeanour the whole way through in spite of everything going on around her makes me smile just remembering it.

Absolutely loved this! It was so close to what can actually happen in amateur Panto!! I've had someone on stage with headphones hidden under an Arab headdress as he couldn't remember his lines.....was in tears of laughter the whole way through. Best tv all hols.

Excellent. They must have had so much fun doing it.

Just going to watch it

Wobblybits Tue 10-Jan-17 18:08:26

It's still available on BBC IPlayer for another 3 weeks

I do wish I'd recorded it to watch again...it certainly was the best thing on over Christmas, IMO! grin

You have to be real professionals to look that bad

Well, watched it this morning as we were up very early,Just hilarious, haven't laughed out loud like that for ages, what a treat!
All the actors were good ( not easy as it's all in the timing to make things go wrong) oh those flying scenes.grin Think we may have to watch it again this week.

Just recorded it to watch later today, it sounds funny ( and we all need funny.)

Wobblybits Sun 08-Jan-17 10:05:08

Just watched it on IPlayer, side splitting stuff to start the day.

Loved it, I watched it in bed late the other night and had to pause it to go to the loo.
Very funny.

Caught up today shysal and watched it with my 10 year old granddaughter.

We chuckled all the way through it . Whilst they were all brilliant I really loved Tinkerbell. smile

A Christmas highlight for me!

Having been in dire local Pantos (so bad we were good) I really enjoyed this....However, it takes real talent to get it this wrong....the timing alone was masterly, as to David Suchet hamming it up......adorable!!
Also, I suddenly realised how it good it was when I found myself really worrying that one or other of the actors might have actually hurt themselves!

Luckygirl Sun 01-Jan-17 20:54:25

Just found it on the Roku - fingers crossed!

Jayanna9040 Sun 01-Jan-17 20:53:30

Recorded it and just finished watching. We screamed with laughter! BBC 1 I think.

Luckygirl Sun 01-Jan-17 20:51:13

Which channel was it on please - sounds as though I should give it a go!

Ana Sun 01-Jan-17 20:48:16

I don't know why I found it so funny, I hate any sort of slapstick-style comedy usually - I think the way the actors kept straight faces and 'carried on' regardless just made it!

Deedaa Sun 01-Jan-17 20:23:58

fiorentina51 I have also had some "interesting" experiences in Am Dram - the collapsing bed in The Lion in Winter was a good one tchgrin DH watched a bit and was unimpressed but I laughed myself silly. And I loved poor David Suchet was wonderful, I loved the Poirot bit!

I'm obviously missing something, but I've always thought Miranda is just stupid.

BlueBelle Sun 01-Jan-17 14:55:39

Absolutely Daphne ....the bit I saw didn't pull me in to watch more, so my loss as everyone else seemed to agree with you but then I hated the carry on films so if it was good British deftness maybe I m just not built for it

Now I watched Miranda last night and found it absolutely hilarious

fiorentina51 Sun 01-Jan-17 14:51:32

I've been in a few Am Dram productions that have been peppered with very similar incidents....including setting fire to the stage.?

kittylester Sun 01-Jan-17 13:48:53

I loved it! I put it on in the kitchen as an antidote to flipping football and was not expecting much but found it really silly and hilarious!

DaphneBroon Sun 01-Jan-17 13:21:37

Daft is good Blue Belle grin
