I recently found this very funny and poignant programme on Netflix and thought you might care for the recommendation. It has Kim Cattrall (prev of Sex and the City fame) this time very much behaving well but coming to terms with ageing - she has a Woody Allen style husband and an ungrateful adult son - sounds odd but I love it. If you don't have Netflix I must say I find the £6.99 subscription per month well worth it as there is such a lot on their Box sets, films TV shows etc with lots of old favourites.

I saw this when it was on Sky Arts and enjoyed it, seeing a lot that I could identify with. It was very American though and is a remake of an earlier British version starring Joanna Lumley that I had not heard of.
There is a new series of the Kim Cattrall version coming soon.

I liked the Joanna Lumley version.

I haven't seen that but if its only on Sky I wouldn't as we don't have that. I wonder how I can get hold of it.

We saw the Kim Catrell version when it was on a year or so ago...we liked it initially but after a while it got a bit dull and miserable. But that's just our opinion ...

The earlier version was on BBC.

The BBC version was superb; [written by Hugo Blick [sp] ]. Hadn't realised there had been a remake. He doesn't seem to have written anything recently that I'm aware of though.

I do agree mollie it does feel a bit like that but somehow I like it (probably cos I often feel like that) but I love the situations and her husbands humour and the awfulness of her son. Its juts a bit different I thought.
