Tried this twice and lasted 10 minutes. This is not funny largely because it just isn't - the jokes are appalling and the canned laughter makes it worse. not sure I would settled on a subject like Womens' Suffrage as a sitcom anyway!!

I wasn't sure if it was a repeat of the first series but I gave it thirty seconds. I didn't really watch it first time round either.

I can confirm that the laughter isn't canned. We've been to the recordings and we enjoyed them very much.

Warming to it. Watched it again this week and rather enjoyed it - perhaps it is an acquired taste. I thought the bit where the young Churchill fist hears the "We'll fight them on the..." speech from the women very clever. In fact a lot of the jokes are quite subtle and I think you have to get to know the characters to appreciate some of the humour.
