What a wonderful programme--I loved every minute of it. For a man without a faith (although I listened carefully, I did not hear him say he was an atheist) he was so open-minded and sensitive to people's beliefs. A great skill. He did say "I'm not a religious person, but I wish I was".
He took in the most beautiful sites--Lindisfarne, Lincoln, Walsingham and Canterbury. Maybe we should start a Gransnet pilgrimage?!
As long as someone could cook us the medieval food he had en route--it looked both delicious and healthy. But the Medieval Food Historian did not get a credit--did anyone catch her name?
