I bought travel insurance today for an up-coming trip. On reviewing the details I had given, prior to paying, I realised that I had made a typo and was a year out with the year my year of birth..
Obviously, I went back to correct my error. As the incorrect year made me appear a year younger than I am in reality, I thought that the price might rise when I put in the correct year. Imagine my surprise when it actually dropped instead - albeit only by a pound.
All I can assume is that women of 56 are a bigger insurance risk than those of 57. Who would have thought it!
