Shareholders finally revolt!

The CEO of Aviva has thrown his rattle out of his pram and resigned because the shareholders would not rubber stamp his pay packet.
Could this be the start of something good?
Perhaps 'We are all in it together' could finally mean something.

Possibly. But it's the big business shareholders who are putting their feet down and voting down the proposals - if they hadn't done, the small shareholders would have been ignored as usual.

As long as the big business shareholders can break the cycle of A agreeing B's remuneration package, B agreeing C's and C agreeing A's there is some chance of reining in the fat cats.

Yes ...but the Board didn't have to follow the shareholders' vote ...that is not yet legally binding?? confused isn't that one of things the present government are thinking about introducing? hmm

Did hear someone ask how much his 'golden handshake' would be?? How can that be alright? shock
