Cleaning a juliet balcony

Puzzled by this one. If it is a Juliet balcony, which way do the doors open?

I'm glad somebody else tried to work this out. I didn't comment before because I thought I was maybe being slightly thick!

It's a problem isn't it ? I have one of these at my work , terrible to clean just now due to being located on a cliff top with nesting birds flying over head . The only thing is to keep using your long handled squeezy thing , washing up liquid and maybe pop a dry cloth over the squeezy thing to dry the glass off quickly . Or hope for rain !

If your doors don't open inwards, perhaps a hose pipe squirted against the windows will be better than rain?

Juliet balconies are for safety reasons only. Therefore the doors open inwards. My window cleaner cleans the outside of mine and I dust the inside of the glass and metal work with a long handled mop type duster. Been doing it this way for eleven years and it works well.

I still don't understand which glass can't be reached...

Does the balcony have glass sides, rather than rails?

I assumed balcony had glass sides and those were what OP was trying to clean

My Juliet balcony. Doors open and closed. The doors actually open and fold back. One can sit by the open doors and the Juliet balcony is the safety barrier.

I see now, the balcony "rails" are glazed. I don't think I've noticed glazed ones like this... or maybe the glass is basically "invisible".

Now I understand the problem I think I would just do what you already have been doing! Sorry.

Not all Julliet balcony "rails" are glass. Some are very close to the windows/French door. It seems many (most?) window cleaners do not climb ladders these days, so they are not able to clean between the window and balcony. Windows can be sliding ones, as well as opening inwards.

I don't envy anyone trying to clean them. I hadn't even thought about them until I moved. The retirement flats I have moved into have them on the first-floor flats. I know many have issues with them and find them challenging.
