Kitchen cupboards

Ditto with drawers and everything else. When I go and get the thing he swears blind is not there, I usually speak to the item telling it what a naughty thing it is for hiding itself from him.

Ha Ha. I often feel like sticking a note on the cupboard doors saying, 'It's not going to shout, 'Here I am.'

And don't ask them to locate the spare toilet rolls.
Apparently I have been hiding them for the last 40 years !

Well, at least SOME men actually open the kitchen cupboards.

Mine just asks, "Where do we keep...."

And not only in the kitchen, but everywhere else in the house, including sometimes his own workshop!

We have mysterious items that move around all by themselves and are never where DH left them.

Maybelle we have our own personal toilet roll fairy.

Cherrytree would love a toilet roll fairy. Where can I find one ??

I would just like a DH who shut cupboards and/or drawers.

ps Why does DH leave the fridge wide open after he's taken out the milk to make tea? And leaves it open until he has finished the process.

I should be thankful he does make tea I suppose.

Doing my best to train my DGS (and his sister too) by pointing out the the soggy towel fairy/ sock picking up fairy/plates into the kitchen fairy (you get my drift) is not on duty today and she also gave Gran the day off! He also doesn't like being accused of 'boy-looking'. (Excuse the misandry!)
It works most of the time !!
Whether it would work post adolescence I don't know as I didn't experience it!

Well, it's not that old, but old enough.

I spend a good part of my life shouting 'Oh, do shut up'.
Not to DH, but to the washing machine, the tumble dryer, the steamer, the oven, the fridge/freezer etc etc.

I would quite like a husband who put things back in the cupboards and drawers - and the garage! - when he's finished with them. But no, they just get left wherever he last used them - on the kitchen table, on one of the worktops, on the floor in the hall, on the garden table, on the stairs....

Putting things back bathsheba? Don’t be silly, then of course they can’t be found when next needed. .

I have one of those husbands too H1954 who stands holding the door open declaring he can't see any..whatever and I say it's not going to jump out at you.

He also stands beside the fridge making a shopping list and shouts to me in the living room Have we got any milk?

If he can't find it fo himself then it stays unfound in our house.
I've often told him to add it to the shopping list as we obviously need a replacement one.
This applies to everything no matter the expense. After all the item is obviously lost forever!

Cherrytree our fridge also 'shouts when left open. DH always tells it he won't be a minute and not to be impatient. All in all he spends a lot of time talking to the fridge .

It must be there from birth my grandson can never find a thing when it’s sitting looking at him, when pointed out he ll say well it wasn’t there when I looked. You can find him by following his trail, and worst of all he leaves everything, and I mean everything, round other peoples houses. Every now and then my daughter will make a list and tell him to ‘get them’ ....Black coat, Jacks, Footie boots Joes, new jumper girlfriend, book for tomorrow’s college oh that’s in Jim’s car
The best one was leaving a pair of shoes round a mates and six months later the mates walking around in them !!!! Last year he came to mine on his bike his hands freezing I gave him a pair of ski gloves, pop them back when you’re passing I said, I ve never seen them again, nor has he When last asked they were drying on someone’s radiator.

Mine was constantly losing things, especially keys. I bought him one of those key rings which when you whistle would whistle back - he lost it!
