I have had tinnitus for about 20 years and have learned to live with it. It ebbs and flows and I listen to various music/sounds online to help sooth the sound which is a high pitched continuous noise. I see my Audiologist annually.

The tinnitus is particularly annoying today and so I have been listening to some soundscapes from Calm to help.

I fancy trying some different soundscapes so what do you use to help you cope with your tinnitus please ?

I have radio 4 on for most of the day and go to sleep with it on a timer at night.
The radio isn’t on now and I am conscious of the continuous whooshing and whistling going on in my left, moderately severe deaf ear.

I think we did a topic on this last year.
Do you have a tinnitus clinic at your health centre?
I was given an hearing aid type device that emits white noise.
I have to say the plastic tube irritates my ear though so can’t wear it for long.

I try not to think about until someone mentions it.

I have a continuous hissing noise in both ears. Some days it's very loud and intrusive and some days I barely notice it. When it's very loud I ask Alexa to play classical music playlists which does help me not notice the hissing. Funnily enough it doesn't bother me at bedtime, and I can fall asleep even if it's loud.
I once did a tinnitus frequency test and discovered my frequency is around 4000hz. I've never followed it up though.
