Primary Milia on Eyelid.

Hi there I had one of these for 2 years- I’d asked the optician about getting it removed. She gave me details of a surgeon who would remove it. It was going to cost £1200( this was a few years ago). I was about to phone for an appointment when a few days later it had disappeared! Hasn’t come back either.

Mine go away on their own.

I have read they can just disappear, but don’t want to wait two years!

I have these removed at a local beauty salon and was very pleased with the results. I know they can go away on their own but I wanted to look my best for a special occasion. It was painless and took only a few minutes. Why not ring round some good salons and ask? It cost me around £25.

I dont think they are a medical issue, more so a beautician.

My daughter had one of these - the doctor said he wouldn't recommend an operation as they usually go of their own accord.
She just got used to it being there and one day we were out and it just suddenly popped. A few days later you would never know it had ever been there and she had it for two years.

I was told eye massage is importnant as we get older. Wear a warm eye mask for a few minutes (not hot!) and gently massage downwards from your eye socket to your lashes. In a few days or earlier it will have gone.

anything near the eye, i would only trust to a good plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
it's worth paying for the best.
i cert would not be going anywhere near a beauty parlour with that.

Just an update on my old post.

Yesterday, I looked in the mirror and couldn’t believe the ‘thing’ on my eye had gone! Had to dash outside to get DH to double check.

Strange thing is, last week I went to the GP with it, to ask about removal. He said it wouldn’t warrant removal on NHS (no surprise there, but had no real suggestion where to go). He also said it looked ready to ‘pop’, but I said it had looked like that all the time.

Whatever, so pleased it’s gone, just hope it doesn’t return.

Thanks BlueBelle, I’ve had it for best part of a year though, so not that quick.

The GP asked me if it was sore or painful, I said no, if I’d said ‘yes’, think it would then have been a medical issue..

But I wasn’t going to lie.

Anyway, hope it doesn’t make a return appearance!
