Symphathise as I've had it, not in my leg though. No probkems there since and that was thirty years ago and treatment better now. I do urge you to get in touch with your surgery and put your mind at rest and to do exercises to get circulation going.

Unglamgran first thing tomorrow ring your GP you many need more antibiotics as it's sounds as if it hasn't gone . I had cellulitis and was on antibiotics for a week . Luckily I realised something was wrong quickly. Have you had any blood tests? If you had some at the start of your treatment you may need them redoing. Also you need to keep the skin as long as you haven't got an open wound well moisturised. I have been using Dermol 500 lotion since I had jaundice 5 years ago and it's kept my skin healthy . I found with the cellulitis the cream took away the soreness and itching. I used everytime I felt it. Hope this helps.

My DH had it when he was in his early 30s following a football tackle. He was in hospital for a week on IV antibiotics and then another two weeks on oral antibiotics. The area around the original’graze’ remained tender to touch for some months afterwards from memory and he did have odd strange twinges.
I agree speaking to the GP is a good idea as you do remain prone to further infection in the area for quite a while. DH had another course of antibiotics the following year as the GP thought it was becoming inflamed again.

I had it a few years ago and it all stemmed from a tiny and I mean tiny itchy spot on my toe which we don’t know but could have been a tiny midge bite I ended up not as an in patient but strung up to intravenous antibiotics at hospital it was a worrying and painful period watching the red line creep up my leg thigh etc
As others have said go back to the doctor it doesn’t sound as if it s completely cleared hopefully it’s just part of the healing process but best to be sure

My ex had bad bout, same place, in early 2021.hospital etc. Fine now, Unglamgran, tho leg had thinned and took some time to fill out, but totally with the others here, you may need more anti'b's. NOT something to leave. x

I had Cellulitis, in both legs, about 30 years ago. Very painful. I had it again, a couple of years ago (during the lockdown), in my face, which started off when I had a tiny scratch. I had 2 different types of antibiotics for 10 days. I think you should ring your GP.
