I too object to giving my address, so I typed "Is this necessary?" into that space and it accepted it. But I had to give town and postcode to get through. So that more or less gives my address away.....
This is such a worthwhile cause. A good friend of mine has this cancer and it's heartbreaking. More research is desperately needed.

Do you really think the government don't know exactly who you are and where you live ?

It's not the government I'd be worried about if I shared my name and address on this petition, and others like it.

Ana, the government needs to see that you are a UK citizen as it is a government petition, but nobody else gets to see your address. It just gives the number of people who have signed up to it.
I am sure I trust the government a lot less than some people on gransnet, but I sign up to loads of petitions on this website. It's better than signing up to 38 degrees, etc.
It's been going for longer than this government has been in power.

Have signed up for it, too, but there should also be one for brain cancer, which is another of the Cinderella cancers, that gets very little research money spent on it.

Thank you to all the lovely people who have signed the e petition to improve funding for pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately the Hope is Contagious website was down this morning but is up and running now again. Could I ask that all of you who have signed please share this with family, and friends to get them to sign too. We have just a few days left and it would be a shame to fall at the last hurdle.
