Red robins

Does anyone know if its alright to plant passion flower inbetween red robins? Abit concerned it may hinder their growth. I want to let the passion flower grow up and use the red robins as supports so making a denser evergreen hedge, and those exotic flowers everywhere!

My neighbour stripped all the passion flower away last week as it took over everywhere. It's a rapid grower which you have to keep an eye on because it attaches itself to everything.
