This was on my plum tree this morning, along with a lot of it’s buddies, and I got into a panic until I discovered it is the larva (larvae?) of the ladybird. I assume they have been munching away on the plum aphids that have been deforming the tree this year. Fearsome looking little beggar isn’t he? There certainly are not many aphids in evidence.
