The oldies disco

Later on, we filled the dance floor to 'Hit me with your walking stick! Hit me! Hit me! Hit me!'

I was glad when they played the Bee Gees, Stayin' Alive. It seemed something to aspire to!

They played some older tunes and we all sang along.
'When I take you out with my trolley, with the fringe on top'.

And as I was hoisting myself up on my zimmer frame to shimmy to the dance floor, they played Lean On Me by Still Bill.

I thought the roof was going to lift off when we all sang 'Didn't we have a lovely time, the day we went to.. er.. where was it again?'

I'd decided against wearing the Tena Lady for the evening and I realised the foolishness of this when they played More Than A Feeling by Boston.

That's all I do....

By the time I got to the loo, the significance of Tapestry's It's Too Late was all too obvious.

We even got down on the floor and did a bit of rowing when they played 'Oops upside ya bed'

My boob tube was a bit snug and so I nipped to the ladies to make myself more comfortable. When I can back out into the dance floor they were playing the Pretenders Bras in Pocket.

I had a bit of a slow dance to that lovely romantic song 'Everything I do, I must be near a loo'

And whilst you were trying to get up off the floor we were all singing Bob Marley & The Wailers' No Woman, No Try. But you did!

I love a bit of queen. All their songs are great, but the best is 'I want to break wind'.

Luckily, I'd brought my compression socks with me. They're a struggle to fight with but T Rex's Get It On was encouraging. And as I was staggering up the stairs to the bar they played Ain't No Mountain High Enough.

They certainly played am eclectic mix.

I was thrilled to hear 'Pac-a-Mac the knife'.

Nobody does it better (Carley Simon). Might get away with this one: Viagra goes it better.

I love her songs.
Especially "You're so (varicose) vein".
