I’ve just made myself a delicious lamb roast dinner and got to remembering these pans came ‘free’ (German made, solid, excellent, not non stick) in 1987 with a kitchen we had fitted when we had a house, back in the day.
I remembered all the family dinners we’d had using them. Silly I know, but made me slightly emotional as I washed up (solo now) after eating.
Than I thought I bet many of us GNetters have lots of similar stuff (furniture, crockery, clocks, lamps etc) and that we are not the ‘landfill’ generation!
Am I right do you think?
I don’t replace stuff just to be contemporary. If it’s functional and ‘good enough’ I don’t go out and buy similar and replace.
But maybe you do you? Perhaps you just get sick of looking at the same old stuff and want to ‘freshen up’?
It just got me thinking this evening is all …. 😊
