Saturday Kitchen

Food hell - seafood, especially calamare. Would rather eat rubber bands.
Food heaven - Cullen skink (ie a thick soup made with smoked haddock, potatoes, cream. A meal in itself). Anything with chocolate and/or raspberries.

Food heaven - ribeye steak, chococolate, raspberries
Food hell - tripe, asparagus, whale

Food heaven a really nice Goan prawn curry.

Food heaven = savoury - good bread, butter and cheese
sweet - chocolate, raspberries or anything lemony

Hell = eggs [boiled, fried, poached and scrambled] all offal, all milk puddings. Couldn't find a throwing up smiley!

Food heaven = Home reared roast chicken with fresh vegetables in season and a nice

Food hell = Findus Lasagne.

Hell is easy - anything slimy with tentacles.This includes tripe - it looks as if it should have tentacles and rice pudding - definitely slimy!
I know my heaven should be a beautifully roasted free range chicken or a lovely rare rib of beef, but sadly it would be a huge bowl of Eton Mess

We had food heaven for Sunday lunch - Coq au Vin, followed by Cardamom and black pepper bread and butter pudding.

Food hell.... overcooked cabbage and undercooked bacon, which used to feature prominently on the menu at school!

That sounds like a lovely B&B pudding, jane. I might give that a go.

Heaven- blue cheese, shellfish, octopus,cuttlefish, anything with chocolate & a good roast lamb dinner with crispy roasties & proper gravy.

Hell- Coconut- well most nuts really but coconut especially- can't even stand the smell of it! Celery too & kippers or any fish with small bones in - love the taste of all fish but cannot 'do' bones.Childhood memory of getting one stuck in throat!

Sorry - lost track of this for a bit - good to see heaven and hells. Had home made lasagne, roast beef and chocolate cake on Sunday - none of which is in my food heaven - but really good all the same!!

Food hell! Half a caterpillar in the over cooked school cabbage!

Really fancy a slowcooked shoulder of lamb with gravy, crisp roast potatoes, cauliflower and mint sauce!
Unfortunately that's too much for little old me on my own, so I don't bother.

I just love the flavour of shoulder!

M&S do a slow cooked half shoulder which you finish off 40min in the oven. Enough for two or one with decent lunch on the next day. Delicious.

Heaven :- When MIL was alive it would be her pie crust with mashed potaoes, turnip and veg. Now Salmon any way it comes.
Hell:- tripe and rice pudding.

Heaven : chicken cutlet, milk shake, mango, cheese, fry fish.
Hell: pork, beef, sweet rice.
