Are there any current ads that make you laugh?

I remember enjoying ads in the past for their humour or gentleness, Dulux and Nescafé or the ^little madam wearing Clark’s’ shoes, spring to mind.

What made me laugh this am?
Just after a message from United Utilities, reminding me to save water with shorter 4 minute showers, a tiktok advert appeared showing me that I could have a waterproof phone case to stick on the wall of the shower so I don’t miss out on a single second of the Internet!
Do any adverts make you laugh?

No I’d say most make me cringe tho I usually manage to silence them first

The VW car one where the Robin falls off his perch.

The Boots summer advert, where dad asks for the boots bag, and mum turns round with such an innocent look on her face. Makes me smile every time, and I think, well you should have done it yourself

The Lidl one is making me cross. Little daughter checks what Dad has bought for her specific requirements. Since when did small children speak to their parents like that? All too often, it seems.

I like most of the specsavers ads, my favourite was the elderly couple who’d unwittingly got on to the big dipper.

What kind of cheese was that!

@Cabbie21 - same here, it's not funny, it's blooming infuriating the way she speaks to him.
I'm still liking the PeptoBismal ad, though I know loads hate it, but the wee guy with the woolly hat making faces just makes me smile each time.

I agree with Bellanonna - there are plenty that make me cringe, especially a radio ad and a TV ad for bladder leak pads! Just dreadful!

That one gets my goat too!🤬 The Dad looking worried while the little princess gives her orders.

The andrex loo roll one with the lady having a water birth, makes me laugh

Sarahleigh Fri 19-Jun-26 13:44:02

I can’t remember which car advert it is for but the little people in traffic lights get in it.

Oreo Fri 19-Jun-26 13:45:20

Mollygo Atm can’t think of a single one that makes me laugh but I did used to like the silly Haribo ones ( but we are the police, giggle)🤭

JenniferEccles Fri 19-Jun-26 13:47:41

I laugh at all the Specsavers ones but my two favourites are the vet who mistakes a fur hat for a sick cat, and the poor delivery driver who carries a very heavy parcel up several flights of stairs, only to be told he’s in the wrong block of flats!

Dodo43 Fri 19-Jun-26 13:52:42

Yes Oreo, that's about the only one that I find amusing.
I also hate the precocious child talking to her father like he is the staff.
Lots of kids' programs seem to feature such behaviour from children.....and parents who tolerate it!

Oreo Fri 19-Jun-26 13:52:42

Oh yeah, the fur hat 😆I liked that one.

EllieAnne Fri 19-Jun-26 13:55:12

I like most of the specsavers ads . Hate the haribo with the silly voices and the bladder leaks ones. Who cares that she’s letting it all out? Yuk.

merrellina Fri 19-Jun-26 13:57:13

Granny and Grandaughter on the train , when Granny knew she was in love in Italy !

I enjoy all the adverts for Smarty particularly the one where the road side stall holder selling just a few loose potatoes and onions accepts only cryto currency

Also the current one where the chap with his wheely suitcase does the very British thing of just accepting that he has to traverse the completely empty zig zag line to check in - just as he gets to the end the agent announces check in is now closed - priceless

Oreo Fri 19-Jun-26 14:00:57

I also like the Nationwide ad with Dominic West ( says to his assistant ‘muffin me’ and so on.)
Oh, and the cute dachshund that travels about in a pink car nodding happily at people. Not sure what the ad is for, insurance I guess?

Bazza Fri 19-Jun-26 14:30:42

My favourite Specsavers one was with the clown in a jackinabox. I said supplies! Mostly they make me cringe and I avoid them as much as possible.

That's a very clever advert and it's also very funny. All three actors play their part very well in promoting the Boots brand

weeducky Fri 19-Jun-26 14:53:52

I too like the Specsaver ads but haven't seen them for a wee while. The ad I like most at the moment is the one where the wee boy and his Dad are playing with chips. Think it is McCains

Estrellita Fri 19-Jun-26 15:12:23

I always laugh at the Pepto Bismol one and I love the foxes on the boat advertising a brand of beer.

Cossy Fri 19-Jun-26 15:13:40

No! I find most adverts truly irritating!
