Are there any current ads that make you laugh?

I remember enjoying ads in the past for their humour or gentleness, Dulux and Nescafé or the ^little madam wearing Clark’s’ shoes, spring to mind.

What made me laugh this am?
Just after a message from United Utilities, reminding me to save water with shorter 4 minute showers, a tiktok advert appeared showing me that I could have a waterproof phone case to stick on the wall of the shower so I don’t miss out on a single second of the Internet!
Do any adverts make you laugh?

Its not an ad, just a funny question I see every day on Gransnet under the heading " Latest"

How long does menopause last ?

( The rest of your life , dear.)

I wonder if Lidl bothered asking a focus group about the ad with the spoilt child. It really is awful.

I avoid adverts when I can these days - I find all the pee, poo, period ads off-putting, the funeral plans and gambling ones annoying. I agree with others that the Specsavers and Nationwide ones are fun. We used to have so many great ads though - what’s happened?

ampersand regarding ‘the very British thing…’ I once ducked under some of the completely empty zig zag lines and was told by a staff member that I must walk round!
nonna agree their faces in the Boots ad make me 😊
Worse than the Lidl advert is the mother and son advert where the teacher has had to speak to the parent about something and when they get home they laugh over a glass of squash. Poor teachers!

BrandyGran Yes, the Boots bag one is very funny.

There is a terrible UberEats one with Gordon Ramsey, usually during a break in a World Cup match. I can't stand that man.

I also like the Specsavers ad with the couple who end up on the big dipper.
And a current one that makes me smile is the one where the mother (grandmother?) announces that she's learning jujitsu, then throws her son/grandson over her shoulder.
My granddaughter has just started learning Tai kwondo, & we have a running joke where I 'pretend' to be afraid of her in case she starts throwing me around!

I like the Morrisons ads, especially the one where the lady is buying fish. It starts with her trying to manhandle her shopping trolley on the deck of a fishing boat which is being buffeted around in a storm. She tries to read her shopping list in the driving rain and the look on the fisherman's face is priceless. Always makes me chuckle.

I quite like the one with David Beckham taking out his drink from McDonalds saying: “please be Beckham, please be Beckham” and it’s Thierry Henri. Just makes me laugh.

The advert with the elderly married couple, and he makes her a cup of tea, comes from the kitchen and says to her "are you still here?" It's the type of humour me and the other half have.
We very often say that same phrase to each other on a regular basis ( married 55 years )

I like the one where the dad is paying for his fuel and asks for a bar of chocolate and leaves it for the girl cashier who turns out to be his daughter, presumably they'd had a falling out

Also the girl in the ice cream van who says her brother could turn out to be a footballer like Roy Keane "whoever that is" and Roy's stood there waiting for his cornet, crestfallen

I like the foxes on the speedboat in the Poretti advert.
