I’m in Essex so we’ll miss most of the gales fortunately. I hate it when it’s really windy, will be thinking of you, cuddling the cat. I hope you don’t have any damage overnight.

It seems fine in West Oxfordshire. Just a little bit of rain and moderate wind. Elder son and his family are in the Highlands and they tell me there is snow.

Gusty wind on the south coast.

At the moment, it’s not too bad. We’re in Yorkshire. It’s been breezy throughout the day, but not too strong. It is forecast to be stronger through the night but I hope that doesn’t happen. It was worse last weekend, to be honest. We had really wild wind, and indeed it’s said we had a mini whirlwind near us which I believe, because the sound we heard was like nothing I’d experienced before, like a roaring aircraft coming up the street. It upended our outdoor rocking chair, but left everything else intact - very strange.

Some scary gusts here ... I live on a hill. The garden chairs are blowing about but it is too windy to try and retrieve them. I just hope they do not crash into my French windows ....

Very noisy here in South Yorkshire. I'm heading to bed to snuggle up under the covers while the storm rages outsideand I'm tucked up safe and warm...

On the West Coast of Scotland, it is strong gusts and raining. Eerie sounds! We’re on a hill with nothing much between us and the Irish Sea, although it’s not as bad as it was earlier. Were we’re walking back from a restaurant and could just about stay on our feet.
It’s been worse in the past.

Very noisy, wild and windy now in Lincs but I don't think there's been any rain at all. My cat seems very un-nerved by it all and is finding it hard to settle anywhere for more than a couple of minutes.
