Making things complicated.

A sudden death yesterday in the extended family has brought family members to the area. I suggested they could call here for a cup of tea but someone said they would prefer to go to M and S for soup.With it being Saturday and half term they have had to queue for ages and now someone else has taken them off sightseeing!

That's a shame. It would have been nicer and more private at your house. I'm sure your soup would be much nicer too.

Yes I agree in your home would have been much nicer. Not sure why someone would want to go sightseeing when there has just been a family bereavement, rather strange!

Oh, they do seem a little bit inconsiderate but it could just be a generational thing. My children & their brood often vanish to some cafe' or fast-food joint even when there's loads of stuff specially for them in my freezer. Also kircubbin2000, a death in the family can make people behave erratically!
Just shug your shoulders & let it go, I've actually stopped being so considerate lately. If you can't beat them join them! 😊

I think they took her out to give the elderly person who was hosting her a break.The soup was nice apparently and they will call with me tonight. It was a shock as her mum though elderly had not been ill.
