Intimacy

I’ve been married a couple of years. My husband is 66 and I am 61.
Is this normal to have absolutely no libido at all?
I love my husband but the thought of intimacy is just not there.
It’s got to the stage where I pretend tiredness so I can be asleep when he comes to bed.
Think it’s worse now as I am waiting for a gynaecologist appointment.
Is anyone else the same as me?

A couple of questions need to be asked ...

1. Does the lack of intimacy bother your husband?
2. Have you always felt the same or is it only since your gynaecology issues?

It's only a problem if it bothers you or your husband, surely?

I have felt the same for a while- over 3 months but the gynae issues have only just come about.
Waiting to be seen following an abnormal smear.
I don’t think it bothers him too much actually although when I have hugged him he thinks I’m wanting intimacy which I’m not and then I think he’s a bit hurt.
He also suffers from erectile problems and has done ever since I met him 5 years ago.
I’m just hoping this is okay and other ladies can reassure me that their marriages although sex less are good!

If your husband is happy in a sexless marriage then OK.
But if he's frustrated -I would seek some help .
It would be horrible if he sought sex from someone else .

Its as long as a piece of string. Whatecer suits you as a pair is perfectly 'normal' at any age.

Why not have an open and honest conversation with your husband about how each of you feel and what each of you would like?
