Today while looking at FB, someone had posted a load of wedding photos that were published in our local paper in 1973. Obviously they were all in black & white, but I enjoyed reading the descriptions of the wedding and usually the bride's dress and sometimes a description of the bridesmaids, who the parents were for the bride & groom. Where the reception was held. 99% were white weddings in church or chapel. Dresses were usually high necked and long sleeves with lots of lace and a veil. A big difference to today's plunging neckline . Also the age of the bride and groom usually early to mid 20s.
I remember I used to love looking a the weekly paper when it came out on Thursday to see the wedding photos.
