I don’t know how general this is but yesterday evening in my small market town there was an event commemorating D-Day which included loud fireworks which could be heard all over the town.
There were a lot of comments on the local Facebook page about it, some critical, others saying we should not complain. A point was made about bangs triggering flashbacks for veterans, others questioned the legality of the event, but were condemned for belittling the sacrifice the troops made on that day.
Were fireworks inappropriate?
What was your happiest moment today?
