During a visit to the castle at Bishop Auckland we saw some of the handwritten letters through the ages. The handwriting was so beautiful, no crossing out or ink splodges, no tippex, it stirred my interest to improve my own handwriting.
I was quite a neat writer at school - light upstrokes and heavy down using my Parker fountain pen. Not a feather as my granddaughter once asked! Sadly it has steadily deteriorated.
A quick check on Amazon showed several books of lined paper for handwriting practice. I don't want to do calligraphy, just neat handwriting. My friend who is 91 is the most beautiful writer, cards from her are a joy to read.
