Why would you push her? You can express sympathy and tell her you're available if she wants to talk, but people grieve in their own way. Pushing for a response that fits your experience is just look likely to push her awsy

Unless she asks you I would leave it to her to decided which way to go.
I lost my mother-in-law to cancer who was very close to my late husband so her death affected him badly. All I could do was be by his side for a while until he got over the excess stress.

When my FIL died and MIL collapsed and died at his funeral it was my job to be strong for my DH and DDs - their Grandchildren.

When my DM died it was my role to be strong and there for my Dad who was heartbroken and lost without her.

When MY Dad died, I was devastated and finally able to grieve for my Mother too. I had wonderful support from my DH and DDs.

Please don't push your daughter to talk to you. She needs to remain strong meantime. Just let her know you are there for her if/when she needs you.
