G'Day; Was going to say "hope you are all well" but can't having just passed by the "Good Morning" thread!
My Friday has been a hectic "get up and go" day, mostly with the medical /carer fraternity
First up Carer to prepare for shower; then dressings prior to routine check-up with ophthalmologist; then home for more nurse attention from nurses like "jacqui". Can't complain!! Always look on the bright side of life!
Jan, my neighbour called in for a chat and said that our major, monster shopping centre was practically deserted with empty parking spaces everywhere, which is practically unheard of for a Friday; but of course the Chinese are staying away in droves; so will I because I've no choice.
Spotted this "Odd Spot" in our daily paper!
" a Texas zoo is running a Valentine's Day event with a difference - allowing jilted lovers to name a cockroach or a rat after their ex and then see it fed to a larger animal. Visitors to the San Antonio Zoo website can pay $5 to name a cockroach after their ex., or $25 for a rat. The roaches will be fed to various animals, while the rats will be fed to snakes. The feeding will be livestreamed online so the lovelorn can watch their animals being eaten"
I don't know why, but in my mind's eye I envisaged females forming the longer queue to subscribe, but I'm sure no Grans would be so vindictive!?
Interesting use of websites though!
Quite warm here; 28C, but a fairly "dirty" sky; no rain clouds; probably residual bush-fire smoke It's almost Saturday and talk of storms!
This crazy summer is ludicrous; Sydney and Brisbane are being belted by huge dumps of rain!
Btw; someone on another thread asked if Gransnet look-alikes existed elsewhere. Not here, I'm. afraid, although there are a few members scattered around the country; Get-togethers are obviously not feasible.
