Good Morning Wednesday
(49 Posts)Good Morning everyone from a damp and dark Severnside. I was just going to look about for GMW.
Thank you for your good wishes yesterday for my grand nephew.
A day much the same as yesterday for me although I may have a FaceTime with SiL.
I’m sorry to hear about your tooth again gilly. They seem to be just passing you from pillar to post.
I hope you all have a pleasant day ?
Good Morning all.
Glad you managed to sort you computer issues Michael, I wouldn’t have a clue what to do if something electrical doesn’t work how it should!
Still very dark here in East Staffordshire but it feels quite mild.
Normal work day for me, will have another go at getting a doctors appointment at 8.00am this morning. I really must get this painful heel sorted out.
Hope all to come have a good day, or at least the best day they can have given their individual circumstances.
Good morning Mick and all who follow. Quieter day here in the Scottish Borders. It was battering wind and rain yesterday.
Craft group and catching up with old friends.
I am sad and angry on your behalf Gilly and hope you get the help you need.
Good morning Mick, although it wasn't really for you was it? A huge relief indeed that you resolved the dreaded computer glitch. I know that sinking feeling.
It's dark and cold in Cheshire, but the robin is about and singing cheerfully. I love that little bird.
Usual walk with neighbours at 9 o'clock and then it is shopping for the friend who now won't be home from care until tomorrow. A glitch with the care company not being able to start until then sent me into tailspin last night, as I know I couldn't do what the care staff do if she'd had to go home. At almost 7 o'clock the home rang to say she could stay tonight. I can't lift her for a start. Phew!
I may treat myself to lunch out, then back to watch something or read my book in peace.
Hope Gillybob is pain free, and all recovering from treatments have a better day. Counting myself lucky not to have caught anything nasty - yet. Take care all. x
Good morning Mick and all from a dark Bristol.
Early start this morning first drop off since before Christmas.
Glad you computer is sorted Mick spent last night trying to sort out DH new phone, they don't make things easy do they, I am usually quite good at these things but I think the people who make these apps and things forget that we are not trained as they are , headache.
I hope your toothache is a bit better Gillybob .
I hope everyone else is feeling a bit better this morning and try and enjoy the day.
Good morning from a very dark North Leicestershire. I dont think its raining.
Trying to do admin catch up this morning as DD1 is visiting a school nearby and will call in for lunch. I love it when we get unexpected visits.
I will try to clear the ironing this PM. I will try to clear the ironing......
I hope things are better for gilly and anyone else with woes.
Good morning early birds and all to come. Northampton looks a bit damp but it is not actually raining.
Seems quiet this morning without the cats, as they have been packed off to the cattery while I have workmen in to do my downstairs cloakroom. They are due to start at 8.30 am, so I shall have to get my skates on and have a quick shower and get dressed. I've got plenty of biscuits in for them and no doubt will be on call to make tea all day!
Do hope Gilly gets her tooth sorted soon.
Hope all have a good day.
Goodmorning all, rain all night so a soggy Norfolk this morning. Planning a bake day to re fill freezer after Christmas DH informs me he will be tackling the greenhouse and sorting out the veg garden so won't be under my feet. Mind you he can do a good knave of hearts, things go missing as they come out of the oven. Hope all with the lurgy are feeling better and you can sort the tooth GILLYBOB
Good morning all from Malta where it is cold but bright.
I’m struggling to get out of my nice, warm bed and into the Siberian cold which is my bathroom. Our houses are not centrally heated here and the humidity makes it feel very chilly. ?
Must get a move on as I’m going to take a friend, who is in a care home, out for coffee. She’s 90 and not very mobile so another friend and I go together as it’s much easier with two of us.
Hoping you all have as good a day as possible.
Good morning from a black and wet north of Scotland. Trying to get back into a routine after all the visitors. I need to just catch up on more ironing today and eat the last of the leftovers. Appointment with the physio later after which I shall deserve cake. Hope gillybob gets the help she deserves. Be kind to yourselves today.
Morning Mick Kitty and All.
Think it is going to be a dull warm day in South Bucks, I much prefer cold and sunny.
Glad you have sorted your computer Mick we can’t have you offline.
Missed my WI yesterday as I managed to get a Doc’s appointment. She told me I have to be patient as my pleurisy will clear up in time but I must rest for another week or so. I am becoming square eyed watching my IPad, doing crosswords etc. Anyway what do I have to complain about with poor Gilly having everything thrown at her and Mary trying to sort her medication.
Keep going with the ironing Kitty can I throw in a few of DH’s shirts ? ?
Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s still dark, but dry. Seems mild enough too.
No real plans for today. Might tidy/de clutter my wardrobe.
Hope Marydoll and gillybob feel a bit better today.
Your comment about the knave of hearts made me giggle Mamawolf!
Hope Wednesday is good to us all whether we have plans or, like me, none. x
Morning all from sunny Spain where I’m tucked up with my (different) chamberpot of tea!
Weather’s been stunning since arriving on Monday- glorious sun all day but really cold at night so DH hip isn’t hurting so much as we get out and about. Off to a market this morning and lunch then fall asleep in the sun on the terrace afterwards!
That’s normal behaviour Mommawolf - he calls it ‘testing’ to see if the standard has been met! Hope all with different health worries have a better day and like you Ginny42 I consider us lucky not to have gotten the dreaded lurgies - loads of friends here in Spain seem to have had something over Christmas so it’s not just uk suffering.
to all x
Good Morning from a dark and chilly Black Country
Didn't do a lot yesterday, managed to do the ironing, then I was jiggered! So Tax return must be done today! Still coughing though. I know how you feel NanKate these things have to take time, but it is so frustrating, I haven't been out of the house since Sunday. But is a minor frustration compared others worries on here.
Everyone is so lovely on this thread, and it seems it extends to real life too, reading Ginny and Bellasnanna posts. You are indeed stars!
I am still so sad and upset on your behalf Gilly and I hope someone does something for that tooth PDQ!
Morning all from Manchester. Thanks for the weather report Urmston I can see it's still dark but as I'm in bed - about to get up, honest - no idea what the weather is like! Gym this morning, my favourite class of the week, made more so by the lovely ladies who also attend. Back home to wait for delivery while dh has his turn at the gym. Have no delivery time so someone has to be in. Wish they would all give at least an am or pm slot. Going to see Little Women this evening, looking forward to that. Have a good day all.
for Gilly. This run of bad luck will pass. Hope it's soon.
"Pantglas* have a lovely time. Not going until March, which is ages off!
Morning Mick, morning All from a very dark, dry corner of Somerset. Three hours (at least) chasing around ferrying granddaughter to an appointment today. Unfamiliar narrow lanes no matter which route we choose, my least favourite driving. Relieved you sorted your computer mick, we do rely on them. I don’t know what to say about your tooth gilly other than the system continues to let you down in an appalling way. Hope today brings some relief for you and Wednesday is kind to everyone.
Good morning from a dark but dry Cheshire. Have just put the last load of washing on from our holiday in Madeira. Suppose I will be ironing all afternoon! Am off to our charity shop this morning as I volunteer, have missed it over the holidays and am looking forward to seeing the other 'girls' I work with. Our dog has been really poorly since we got back from holiday and not soon after we arrived home we had to take her to the out of hours vet - she had been terribly sick, was panting and trembling and for the first time in her life, refused food. She hadn't eaten anything at all yesterday, not even tempted by some poached chicken, her absolute favourite. Glad to say, she has had a little chicken this morning, so hopefully, she's on the mend.
So sorry to hear Gillybob's trouble with her tooth is still not sorted, it's gone on for weeks, hope she gets the treatment to finally sort it out. Hope everyone else with health problems start to feel better, it's certainly been a challenging time for some here on GN.
Good Morning from a dark and colder Fife, still bit windy but to as bad as yesterday. Have enjoyed the last two days at home just pottering and cooking etc. DD is off today so that means we shall be seeing her with 2 x DGS's which of course will be just a joy. Not sure what the day will bring but it will be busier than of late. Hope everyone has a good day. Take care.
Good morning from North Yorkshire where it is just getting light. The wind has dropped and it looks like it will be fair today.
Nothing much planned so a walk and some light housework perhaps. Off to see Rocketman at the village cinema club this evening.
Hope you got some help about your tooth Gilly. It’s taking much too long to get it sorted.
Best wishes to all with health issues and worries.
Hope today is kind to everyone.
Good morning all from a dark and dismal Derbyshire. No change here with the weather although not raining, at the moment!
Hope everyone has a good day.
Good morning from a very windy night in the ne. Hope the snow stays away hate the stuff like it on Christmas cards though! More work today getting back into routine. Have a good day all.
Good morning all from a dark and wet Glasgow.
Well done Mick for overcoming your IT problems. I find that every time there is a Windows update, something always appears to go wrong afterwords! ?
I have to go out and pick up a Click and Collect, ( Maw, new boots, ?), as I didn't manage it yesterday, due to spending half the morning at the doctor's and pharmacy.
However, I got my new medication and will start it today. Hopefully It will make a difference.
DD is getting married in March and I want to be well enough to enjoy it and have the strength (and patience) to deal with the minor crises we already have!
Once again, my Repeats were not precribed. When I went into check online yesterday morning, before going to pick them up, acccording to the online GP service, I had no forthcoming appointments, (I do have ) no repeats ( there are twelve) and the medication I had ordered at the weekend hadn't been recorded (I certainly did!!)
"Surgery had a Computer glitch " !!!!!!?"
I didn't even need to explain anything, the receptionist ordered them again immediately, without a quibble.
I was beginning to doubt my sanity, thinking it was me who had the problem!
I have been with this surgery since I was born, and until recently never experienced any problems. It has becoming too large.
Urmstongran, I hope you got on well at the hospital and are feeling a bit better, Kate, glad that your GP re-assured you and as for Gilly, my heart is breaking for her. I wish there was something we could all do to take some of the load from her.
To all my other GN friends who are unwell, you are always in my thoughts.
Ginny and Bellasnanna, what kind friends you are!
.
Have a good day, whatever your plans.
Good morning everyone from a damp Essex by the sea.
Yesterday I met a new group of local ladies for coffee. It was nice to meet up and get out.
Today us my first morning to volunteer at the local hospital. I am very nervous and haven't slept well. Hopefully all will go well.
Have a good day everyone.
