I am listening to ‘Merry Christmas Baby’ by Elvis on Alexa now. He certainly was the King of Rock/Pop music IMO.

We have a ritual for 1st December in our house. DH plays the Michael Bublé track "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" for me to wake up to - it's wonderful tchsmile tchsmile

I think Fairytale of New York is utterly dire! Yet it seems to be so popular. Anyone able to explain why?
My favourite is Sleigh Ride by the Leroy Anderson Orchestra. Lovely!
Also Winter Wonderland for a real cheesy Christmas song.

I think the Wizard song was 'I wish it could be Christmas Every Day'

I like Johnny Mathis 'Mary's Boy Child' and Bing Crosby 'I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas'.

They are all a bit cheesy I think, full of false sentiment. I prefer Christmas Carols nearer to Christmas and not weeks leading up to it.
