Good morning Mick, lovely photo of a happy group.
It is grey and cool here in the NE and does not promise to get any better.
Better night last night but wide awake early after spending most of yesterday in bed.
No plans for today, allows DH a lull before hospital again tomorrow.

Good morning Mick! Surprised no one else is about yet! It seems a much better day here in Leicester, with a bright sky.

Beechnut Sun 28-Apr-19 06:52:10

Good Morning everyone.
Cool and dry and no wind.
I hope to have a more active day today starting with taking grand dog for a walk. He is currently looking out of the bedroom window.
I hope you all enjoy your day ?

Morning all from a bright North Leicestershire. It poured most of the night here, topsy.

Not a lot planned at Lester Towers today.

NanKate Sun 28-Apr-19 07:13:04

Morning Mick and All.

Sunny day here on the Dorset coast. Returning home after a lovely few days enjoying all the local sights. Visited Tyneham Village yesterday. It is a fascinating village left in a time warp of WW2. The villagers were told to leave their homes as the army needed to requisition it for the troops to move in and start preparing for an invasion. The villagers were never allowed to return sadly.

Stopping off at Compton Acres gardens before trip home.

Enjoy your day folks.

NanKate Sun 28-Apr-19 07:14:16

Is Lester Towers similar to Alton Towers Kitty ?

Justme67 Sun 28-Apr-19 07:21:18

Good morning, early for me, after a really good nights' sleep, thank goodness. Dry and no wind so far, a bit blustery yesterday, so did not venture far, but really enjoyed the snooker on t.v. A lovely game between McGuire and Calllum (hope I have right spelling, such a pity someone has to win when games are so close. Enjoy your days.

Gagagran Sun 28-Apr-19 07:27:34

Morning all! The wind has eased but it's still breezy and quite cool here on the south coast. We didn't get the rain that was forecast.

DGS came for tea (steak and chips and strawberries and icecream) yesterday and this morning is in the St George's Day Parade in Chichester. He towers over me now and is not 14 until the end of June so is still growing. He has got the height gene from our side of the family. His paternal Gran is only 5 feet tall.

Not much on the agenda today but something usually turns up.

Have a good day everyone. sunshine

I’ve been toCompton Acres a few times NanKate I hope you enjoy it.

Good Morning Mick and all. Much quieter here on S Welsh coast after yesterday's gales and I slept better as a result.
DS and DD coming for roast beef and raspberry and apple crumble later. DiL is working.

Have a good Sunday everyone.

BlueSapphire Sun 28-Apr-19 07:46:11

Good morning all from a damp Northampton.
Was hoping to cut the grass today but it's too wet - and growing longer. It hasn't been cut for two weeks since I went on holiday.
Nothing planned except attempt the weekend paper crosswords and puzzles, and go online to book the excursions for my cruise in June.
Hope your Sunday is good.

Urmstongran Sun 28-Apr-19 07:52:38

Good morning everyone from another beautifully sunny Malaga. I think someone’s flicked the switch weather wise and this will be it now until mid December - wall to wall sunshine!

It’s a GE here today. Half a dozen political parties and all have similar percentage forecasts.

No plans for us just go with the flow today. Hope we all have a good Sunday whether we have plans or (like me) none.

Great photo Mick!

ninathenana Sun 28-Apr-19 08:08:10

Good morning all.
Not how I pictured you Mick great to put a face to the name.
Still windy in Kent. We had light over night rain but it's dry now. Had to put the flipping heating on about 7pm last night shock
DH has gone to the plot. So Sunday papers and a leisurely breckie for me.
Have a good day everyone.

gillybob Sun 28-Apr-19 08:11:01

Good morning from the NE coast. It’s a dull (but brightening) start to today but it was forecast heavy rain yesterday that thankfully never materialised, so I will just wait and see what today brings.

We Spent all day yesterday doing DD’s garden so I’m aching in places I didn’t even know could ache ! Another very productive day but typically we ran out of sand (2 tones just didn’t go anywhere) which meant we couldn’t finish the paving but at least the garden is a useable space . Little Evie got first try of the new (artificial) lawn and we blew bubbles to celebrate, she loves it. Horrible Neighbours were nowhere to be seen thankfully. We might try and put a few hours in later today (if we can get some more sand from somewhere) but I really need to get some shopping as the cupboards are bare and I have the older DGC for 2 nights / days next week. No rest for the VERY wicked !

Love the photo Mick and glad the weather is still glorious Urmstongran you lucky duck !

Have a good Sunday everyone x

Good Morning all from Fife, it's dry and brighter than yesterday, thank goodness. Firstly let me say I have heard from Marydoll I know we are missing her from this thread. Her new meds have had quite a reaction to her and she is now in hospital getting tests. I'm sure we all wish her well and a very speedy recovery. Take care Mary we are all thinking of you. flowers

EllanVannin Sun 28-Apr-19 08:17:44

Good morning All. x
Still on the breezy side but at least nothing like yesterdays gales. It's not so warm either ! On the dreary side too sad

I'll just see what the day brings today but don't intend doing much apart from seeing to my dinner later.
Hope all is well with everyone.

PS, Mick's photo reminds me of happy times with my dear departed friend on our many trips. Lovely pic.

Urmstongran Sun 28-Apr-19 08:23:14

Thanks for the news of Marydoll, Brunette10
I do hope she’s better soon. x

gillybob Sun 28-Apr-19 08:25:14

Oh thank you for the update on Marydoll, Brunette.

I do hope she is okay, I’m so used to seeing her here on the good morning thread, she is a great miss. flowers

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 28-Apr-19 08:27:43

Morning all from a bright South Notts, which is much nicer than the heavy showers of the last couple of days.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Grammaretto Sun 28-Apr-19 08:29:24

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Bright, fresh and noisy with birds this morning.
I'm chauffeuring people today to their various events so that I can have the car. I don't often need a car but today is one of those days. I'm visiting a friend who lives out in the countryside without public transport.
Hope everyone's day goes well.

NfkDumpling Sun 28-Apr-19 08:34:34

Morning All

The wind has died to a gentle breeze, but now it’s p*****g it down! Mixed feelings as the garden is in desperate need but we’ve arranged with DS to move our boat this morning. Hopefully the forecast is right and it’ll stop around 10.00 and the sun will come out! grin

NanKate Sun 28-Apr-19 08:38:36

Marydoll we are all missing your lovely humour. Hope you will be out of hospital very soon and safely back home. Love from the early morning thread X

Grammaretto Sun 28-Apr-19 08:44:14

I have only just seen that Marydoll is in hospital.
Sending hugs xxxx

Good morning from an almost bright Aberdeenshire...the sun is about to break through the haar and it should be a nice day. Have to be up and about as it is video call day from Singapore...don't want to be caught lying in bed!
Usual woodland romp and chase with the mutt and all his pals and then more gardening. I can only potter slowly, but it's very satisfying when completed.
Have a good day everyone.
