Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Nice photo, Mick; good to put a face to the name! We are off up to York today and then our son and DiL are driving us round Northumberland for the rest of the week. Which is nice, because we have been pretty wrung out and exhausted this week. Went to see the Harlem Globetrotters last night. Hugely entertaining! Have a good day folks.

Looks much calmer here today in the West Country, a trip to Waitrose for a big shop, and then hopefully a quiet afternoon with my book

Good morning...smile
A cool day with a bit of a breeze in Godalming Surrey.
I'm very excited as two of my five children are running the Virgin London marathon.
They've run other marathons in other countries and are quite experienced.
There were over 380k applications and only 40k chosen so it's lucky that both made the cut.
I've downloaded the Virgin app which allows you to track runners by names and bib numbers and see their times at various stages plus photos taken along the way. It's a great way to follow the race.
There is also a map (pdf) to download
I'm running in the York marathon in Oct (my first) and hope to do the 2020 London one.
Let's hope for a bright but coolish day for the runners and hope they all cross the line safely.
Lots of celebs to watch too and I might watch the cycling later.
I hope you all enjoy a pleasant day whatever you're doing. grin

Good morning from Perthshire. Dullish at the moment but dry at least.

Thank you for letting us know about Marydoll Brunette.

I know you had concerns about the new meds Marydoll but I’m gutted for you that you have had such an adverse reaction to see you ending up in hospital. Hopefully the medics can, during testing, find something that will work for you?

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning from east London, sunny and breezy. If you’re running in the marathon, you may hear the choir I’m with singing at milestone 16. We’re there supporting a local charity for a couple of hours. DP’s birthday today but not much planned as next week we have a family get together to mark the April birthdays. Have a good day.

Goodmorning Mick and all !
My granddaughter is 16 today ...where have the years gone ?Helped looking after since she was born. The sweetest natured child I have ever come across, but then, I'm prejudiced. She has no plans for today except a home cooked family lunch with her mum, brother and me.

Good morning everyone,
It’s a lot calmer this morning, and so far brighter and drier. It is forecast to be a better day weather wise, but we’ll see.
Had a very productive day yesterday, clearing out many old text books I no longer need and giving them to a second hand book shop which was grateful to receive them. Ditto with some story books, though they are going to a mixture of charity and young grandchildren of friends. I’m just so pleased to see them go to good homes to either bring someone else pleasure or help with their research.
Today, the plan had been to cut the grass, but I fear it will be too wet after yesterday’s and Friday’s rain. Going out for lunch this afternoon.
Thanks for the photo mick. You look a happy group.
Thank you, too, Brunette for the update on Marydoll. I hope she will soon be back home from hospital.
Take care all. ?

Morning Mick, morning All from a dry and much less draughty corner of Somerset. Couldn’t walk against the wind on the sea front yesterday, nasty day. Good wishes to marydoll and anyone else struggling. Have a good week greyd, like the sound of a chauffeur. Bit of garden rescuing here today, not much else. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a grey, damp Colchester. I will be watching the Marathon on TV and cooking the Sunday Roast today.
We successfully surprised a friend with a fancy dress birthday party last night.
You are taller than I imagined Mick. Nobody I have met from GN has looked how I thought they would...

Auntieflo Sun 28-Apr-19 09:37:07

Good morning Michael, Annie and all. I have read GN while away, so thanks for the daily “hello”, Annie.
Came back from a holiday yesterday, and had to put the heating on to warm up the house. We got blown to pieces in Launceston, during our coffee stop on the way home.
So sorry to hear about Marydoll being in hospital, get well soonest.
Now it’s back to cooking our own meals again, shock, and we will have to stock up the cupboards.
Enjoy your day one and all.

Good Morning from a very dull Black Country.

A day of mixed emotions here , as my Niece (brothers daughter), is flying off to Australia later this week to work there for 18 months, so we are having a family gathering to say farewell! We are excited for her, but sad to see her go.

Good to put a face to a name Mick and glad you had a good weekend.

Thinking of Marydoll and hope she will be feeling better and back with us soon. flowers

Gillybob you and your DH are super parents, you work so hard for your family, I am in awe where you find the energy!

Nankate I have never heard of Tyneham Village, so that is one to put onto my ever growing list of places to visit. Thank you, being on GN is such an education smile

Wishing you all a good Sunday.
