I've been awake since 4.30 and have given up and come to make a cuppa.
It has just started raining in Kent so I won't bother putting the laundry on.
A day of pottering it is then.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Morning, Nina. The sun was out when I woke up this morning. Now it has gone. Just about sums up how I am feeling. We are labouring under some hard news at the moment and I am surprised I managed to sleep at all. Have the best day you can folks.

Off to Lytham today! Have put a notice for a meetup for a cup of tea/coffee in the village it anyone cares to look and is free either tomorrow or at the beginning of next week. Keeping fingers crossed that the planes and trains are on time.

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a bright sunny start to the day. The weather forecast is for rain later but looking out it seems almost impossible. No doubt the clouds will come rolling in from across the sea.

Like you nina I have had a poor nights sleep, tossing and turning and pacing around in the early hours. I was glad to get up. Been pottering since just after 5.

Another thrilling day awaits in “that place” but at least it’s Thursday .

Good morning from a cloudy and cool Birmingham. I’m off to pick up my elder grandaughter in a while. We’re going to do Toddler Pottery today. It’s my London based grandaughter’s second birthday today, so we will FaceTime her later.

Morning everyone from a bright Fife. However it is to rain later on today. Sorry to hear there are so many with coughs and worries. Grey I hope it's nothing too serious for you. DH got on fine at hospital yesterday, no worries. DGS's were good for me. Off to do some shopping this morning and if its' raining pm will be having a seat/coffee. Just back from the supermarket shop. These Thursdays seem to come round at breakneck speed.

Usual disturbed sleep following choir last night. Can't switch my brain off even though I go to bed feeling weary.

Sorry to hear you have troubles GreyD - hope you feel better in daylight. It's always worse during the night.

Good morning all off work today but visit to dentist at 12.30 nerves kicking in snapped tooth is it repair or out? Soon find out seem to spend my days off at hospital doctor or dentist appointments now! Old age creeping up!! Have a good day all!

Will be doing a 2nd coat on the kitchen walls today. The tiles will be on next week, so operation Kitchen makeover will soon be completed!

Another one here with a poor night's sleep.? So a gentle day for me, pottering before picking up DGD from nursery.
We had a lovely lunch yesterday after my eye test, now awaiting hospital eye appointment (probably years, going by my other appointments) for a specialised test. I'm running out of free days!?

Good morning from rainy Colchester. The garden needs it but I don't. Wearing an extra layer indoors as I'm NOT putting the heating back on.....

Well it's pouring here in north Cheshire and I don't feel inspired to get going and go to painting but I must. A lovely friend there has lost her husband and she's coming back to class today and I feel I owe it to her to be there.

A long meeting of a charity this evening, so I'm treating myself to a hairdo this afternoon.

Goodmorning Mick and all. Going to our seniors coffee-morning......started with 12 members....grown to 102 in the past 2 years.
A tip for those who have trouble sleeping....it's not a healthy one, but it works for me. Some carbs before bedtime. Last night, I was having trouble falling off ......went down, made myself a ham sandwich and a hot cup of tea and voila ! Came back into bed and slept like a baby for 7 hours - try it.

Good morning everyone from Northampton again.
Got back from my Danube cruise yesterday, so think I will be spending the day unpacking and sorting the washing.
It was a lovely holiday so think I will be fishing out the brochure to see what I fancy next year! We had lovely weather apart from our last day in Budapest where it was grey, windy and bitterly cold, and then rain all afternoon.
Back to real life now.......

Good morning from a cool, damp Aberdeenshire. I think it will be an ironing day as the ground is too wet to do anything outside.
The mutt is talking to me again after his grooming session, and his mates still play with him, in spite of smelling like a rose. Yesterday, there were eight dogs of various sizes, having a chase me Charlie in the woods. There is a lovely, sunny clearing where you can sit and have a blether with fellow dog walkers.
I finished my green man at ceramics last night, so have to find somewhere to hang him...the greenhouse?
