My family had two Aunty Pegs......Big Aunty and Little Aunty!

I had old gran(in her 80s) and wee red gran,young with ginger hair!?my
Grand kids have granno and nana.

?? Nanny in the ground. Omg I love the things they come out with. My GD is only 2 so I'll have to wait a bit to make sense of what she's saying, but if her looks are anything to go by when she babbles we're in for a treat.xx

we had big nanny and little nanny!! lol they do make you smile.

My friend's son says Grannyknit, for obvious reasons.

My friend's daughter had one nan who had died so she was nanny in heaven, and one nan living in Devon. The little girl asked her mum one day 'Is Devon next to heaven?'

I had Big Grandma and Little Grandma when I was a child. I think there was at least 10 stone difference between them!

to my eldest DGD I am Granny Frog because I live in France, and other Granny is Granny Pasty because she lives in Cornwall!

I have to say these names were decided by Granny Pasty and myself over a bottle of champagne the day after she arrived. somehow they have stuck!

I love how they work things out for them selfs. We are a blended family so 3 sets plus my mum

Nanny with sweetie granddad
Nanny with silly granddad
Nan round the corner with Gramps (me)
Now aged 12and16 still in use

I'm just 'Nanny Sarah', I can change pets or whether I'm with a partner or not and my name remains the same!

I am Big Granny. I am only 5ft tall, but Little Granny is shorter and a lot skinnier than me :-)

I had Nanny & Nanny Puff-Puff.
Nanny Puff Puff lived opposite a field with a train track at the end of it & my Dad had to pick me up & run like the wind when a train could be heard approaching so I could wave to the driver- who always waved back!
Steam trains then hence puff puff.

At last something to bring a welcome smile to our face. I just love their sayings, I'm "never sit still granny" as always finding different things to do. They raise their eyebrows and wonder what I am going to come up with next. Keeps me young and them guessing though

DH's children used to call one grandma 'Grandma Grey', because of her hair.

Ours have a 'Grandma and Grandad with the campervan' and a 'Grandma and Grandad with the beard'.

I don't think that Grandma with the beard likes her tag very much when Grandad isn't included!

My grandson called me Bus Nanny, as the only time he has ever been on a bus was with me. He also calls my mum Chair Nanny ( she's almost 99) as she is always in the same chair when he sees her.

Ours had Grandma and Grandad Farm and Grandma and Grandad Seaside because that’s where they lived.

My grandson...then 3...couldn't say great nan. He referred to my mother as Natnan

We did virtually all the early years child care for three of our grandchildren when our DD went back to work, mainly as we were home being FCs . I became Grandma and other GM was named just that---Other Grandma
Names still stick even though they now see as much of the growimg GC as we do
Our little GC have a Guernsey Grandma and a Hastings Grandma

Our GC live with their paternal GP so she is just nannie, I am nannie S*****(surname) I tried to be nanna to distinguish but they decided otherwise.
I called my paternal GM nannie W****. The above sound so much more affectionate.

My daughter's children call my ex husband Grandad Beard, and she has taught them to call their other Grandad "Grandad Wrong" since his name is Ron and he always gets her name wrong!

I’m glad my grandchildren live in Australia and mainly only see me on FaceTime otherwise I’m sure I’d be referred to as Grandma Lazy.

My GC call me daft granny ,their other granny is normal granny .She's not thrilled at being "normal".It used to turn heads when they were small and at one end of B and Q or a garden centre with mum and they'd yell the length of the shop Daft granny come and see this .They are my joy and my delight ,just as their parents are .Smallest GD calls her other granny AY AY.We have no idea where she got it from but thats whats she's been called since GD started to speak ,she's 8 now .

My DC were not quite so literal with'Nanny in the ground'. ?

When my Mum died they were just toddlers children, so they referred to her as Gran in Heaven. ?

My daughter is over the moon that her little son has for the first time wrote her Mothers day card without help.
She has told him she will keep it forever.

I am very proud to say he also wrote a card for me and insisted that he did not need any help.
It says...
'to lion love xxxx'.

He promptly expained that he couldn't remember how to write Grandma but could write lion,

My children had 5 grandparents. My mum who was Nana,
DH's mum and stepdad - Nanny and Grandad. and DH's
dad and stepmum for some reason always referred to by the children as Nanny and Grandad with the fishpond. So if we said we were going to see Nanny and Grandad it would always come back "is that Nanny and Grandad or Nanny and Grandad with the fishpond". It was only a very small fishpond too.
