Good Morning Everyone,
Its a clear blue sky start here in Brackley this morning, today I go on my one night stopover trip.
Thus trip is to the new Warner's Hotel at Studley Castle , with free time in Stratford upon Avon before going there, its basically evening meal , entertainment, and breakfast.
Mind you yesterday I picked up two Bart's Maps at Buckingham Flea Market with no dates but referred to the late King George V.
Back to reality tomorrow so will my deputy post , may get back in time to add a post.
Mick

Good morning Micheal! Your trip sounds fun. I recommend the tower restaurant in the theatre at Stratford- great views.
It looks like a lovely day here in Birmingham. I’m having a quiet cup of tea while my grandaughter sleeps. We’ll have a walk in the park after breakfast before I take her home. I’m doing a bit of shopping afterwards- I’m trying to track down some comfortable leather trainers, not easy with my feet.

Good Morning all
Bright and sunny on Severnside this morning.

I bought the things I wanted and bought a few things I fancied at the craft show yesterday and I kept within the budget I gave myself.....because you know how it is at these places ?

Today I thought I would clean the car, it’s been a while and as several of you were talking about your bikes yesterday I might pump the tyres up on mine. I have a Drift made by the firm beginning with R. You have to pedal backwards to brake.

Enjoy your trip Mick and everyone their day whatever you are doing ?

Morning Mick, morning All from our bright and sunny corner of Somerset. Gardening for us today, shrub to plant and weeds to evict. Looking forward to it as I love gardening, sadly Mr C doesn’t and so it’s a case of I point and he digs. There will be muttering from us both. grin. Enjoy your trip Mick, lovely area to visit. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

Morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire.

I have had a stomach bug yesterday and overnight which means I won't be watching the football this morning - a mixed blessing.

Enjoy your trip Mick, sounds good.

cornergran Sun 24-Mar-19 07:12:11

Get better soon kitty, stomach things are very debilitating.

NanKate Sun 24-Mar-19 07:15:29

Morning Mick and All

Lovely sunshine in South Bucks.

Have fun Mick on your night away. Sorry to hear you are unwell Kitty put your feet up with your IPad and take it quietly.

We are off to Sussex on grandparent duties while our son is in Germany so I am sure some early bird will start this thread for Mick tomorrow.

Gagagran Sun 24-Mar-19 07:24:31

Morning all!

We still have a layer of cloud covering what I am sure is a lovely blue sky, here on the south coast. It is supposed to be warmer and sunny according to the forecast so here's hoping they are right!

Your trip sounds good Mick. I own one brick in William Shakespeare's house which I bought in 1961 on a visit with my parents. There was a building/renovation programme ongoing at the time. I still have the certificate to prove it!

Managed to eat some longed-for salad yesterday so my gum has definitely improved though still tender.

Look after yourself kitty and recline on the chaise until you feel a mite better. flowers

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A sunny start in South Yorkshire, but chilly, I fancy. The last junior football game of the season today (the one that was washed out last week), and then DD is giving us lunch. I hope to get back in time to do some gardening this afternoon. Your trip sounds good Mick. I love Stratford on Avon. Have a good day folks.

Good morning everyone from a beautifully sunny South Manchester. Grandson aged 6y coming over later to play - that’s me as supporting act for a couple of hours! Then grandad will take him to cricket practice. I shall stroll over to daughter and son in law’s - might take the 2y granddaughter to the playpark which gives them some headspace! Afterwards home for roast lamb, a glass of ? and put our feet up.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Nanabanana1 Sun 24-Mar-19 08:00:14

Morning all from a sunny and bright Torbay, gardening today after walking my dog,
Hope everyone has a good day and best wishes to anyone under the weather today.

Willow10 Sun 24-Mar-19 08:02:21

Good morning all. Lovely bright and sunny in E. Northants. Had a full day at home yesterday pottering so I must get out for some fresh air today. You have some very interesting trips Mick, enjoy your day!

Pittcity Sun 24-Mar-19 08:08:29

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Must finish my book for book club meeting tomorrow...a good excuse for avoiding the post-holiday ironing!

Annapops Sun 24-Mar-19 08:12:04

Good morning all. I hope those of you who are not too well pick up during the course of the day.
It looks like it may turn into another bright day here in C Durham. Oh how the sun can lift your mood.
I ran my first ever 5k yesterday which gave me such a sense of achievement, although I won't mention my time. Couch to 5k really does work!
More gardening on the agenda today plus a rethink on the front porch which I would like to look more welcoming. It's so shabby and basic. I want a neat and tidy organised look.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Marydoll Sun 24-Mar-19 08:16:35

Good morning all, it's quite breezy today in Glasgow.
I was hoping to potter about the garden, but rain is forecast.
I shall force myself to sit in the conservatory and read the papers. Bliss!
KItty, I hope you feel better soon, as you say, A blessing in disguise
NanKate, gird your loins, but I'm sure you will have a lovely time with your boys.
*Enjoy Stratford Mick, I have always wanted to seeeit.
Happy Sunday, everyone.

harrigran Sun 24-Mar-19 08:28:20

Good morning from a bright NE.
Probably a day at home catching up with odd jobs.
DH and I went for a walk yesterday to look at houses being built beside us, an estate of 700 houses with 3,4 and 5 bedrooms. There was no mention of building another school and the one beside us has a waiting list for entry because it is one of the best in the NE.
Day of rest for you kitty, get well soon.

Auntieflo Sun 24-Mar-19 08:40:33

Morning Michael. Annie and all, from a bright and sunny Berks. We are off to hospital soon, for DH to have a CT scan, so will probably have lunch out today.

Harrigran, where we live there are so many new houses being built. I don't know how many new schools are planned, but the council, in all it's wisdom, is allowing the car parks to be built on. Where are we supposed to park, to visit the regenerated town centre shops?
To all those who are under the weather, get better soon, and enjoy your day one and all.

travelsafar Sun 24-Mar-19 08:40:55

Gorgeous start to the day, blue sky and sunshine here in Letchworth.Off to my daughter's a bit later for brunch and a catch up. Will probably potter in my garden when i get back and have a tidy up in my greenhouse, it is so easy to just 'dump' things in there 'just for now'.smile

NannyJan53 Sun 24-Mar-19 08:43:10

Good Morning from a bright and sunny Black Country. Lovely blue sky this morning.

Another coat of white paint to complete in the kitchen, why does the weather take a turn for the better when you are stuck indoors? smile

Hopefully manage a first cut of the lawn this afternoon though.

Hope you feel better today as the day progresses kitty

Enjoy your trip Mick, I didn't realise Warner Hotels did one night stopovers? I am going to the one in Hayling Island in June, but that is for 4 nights.

Have a lovely day everyone.

12Michael Sun 24-Mar-19 08:47:40

The Warner's at Studley Castle near Redditch is newly opened , March 1st to be exact and are offering opening deals for those that use them.
