Good Morning Sunday
(43 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its a clear blue sky start here in Brackley this morning, today I go on my one night stopover trip.
Thus trip is to the new Warner's Hotel at Studley Castle , with free time in Stratford upon Avon before going there, its basically evening meal , entertainment, and breakfast.
Mind you yesterday I picked up two Bart's Maps at Buckingham Flea Market with no dates but referred to the late King George V.
Back to reality tomorrow so will my deputy post , may get back in time to add a post.
Mick
A lovely day here in Lichfield- a lazy day, hair wash, cook lunch and then gardening for a short time as I can't manage it for too long
fairycherub - welcome. Sorry to hear about your injury. Best thing to do is to sit and rest and oh yes watch tv too
fairycherub, welcome. It's good to see new faces on this gentle thread.
The grass will still be there, if a bit longer, so enjoy your rest.
Good morning all. I'm a newbie to the group . I was going to try and cut the grass today but alas I've twisted my knee and finding it hard to walk. So I shall be resting and watching TV .
Morning everyone,
The bright sunshine of earlier is a lot less now, with more cloud cover. There's a chilly breeze, too.
Dh is cutting the grass, and once I stir myself, I'll go out and empty some pots!
Well done Annapops .
Kitty, I hope you soon feel better - a tummy upset is unpleasant.
Enjoy your weekend, mick - Stratford is lovely.
Not a pleasant day as Marydoll has already said so my plan to do some gardening have been scuppered.
Lucky you Gilly I did a bit of tidying in the garden yesterday with plans to continue today, Ha!! I’m sure there are things to do in the house!...I’ll leave that thought there?
There is no way I could even run 1/2K Annapops I am really impressed what you have achieved. Well done
Sorry to hear you have a tummy bug Kitty. Pepto-Bismol quickly stops the symptoms for me but I do feel like a washed out rag for the day. Take it easy.
Enjoy you trip Mick
Hope everyone has a pleasant day including those of you who are feeling under the weather.
Good morning. Its a beautiful morning in this part of the West Midlands. I'm off to town with DH. I have spotted a nice coat in Debenhams. We may have a pub lunch. Have a lovely day all.
Good morning from sunny Shropshire.Going to pop into town this morning and trust that the invalid will behave himself while I am gone?Enjoy your trip Mick,I love Stratford.Hope you feel better soon kitty.Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone; lovely bright sunny morning in Northampton.
Just cooking some sausages for breakfast then will go out and cut the back grass. Did the front yesterday and round the edges and it doesn't look too bad. Will leave edges for another day as it is a massive lawn.
Thoroughly enjoyed DD's band concert last night. It is so good to see her playing her flute again.
Have a bit of admin to do today: read carefully through the draft copy of my new will, and make a payment online to new solicitor; sign some forms for the solicitor dealing with DH's estate and compose and print letter to him on computer.
Hope your trip goes well, Mick. You have nice weather for it.
Well done Annapops! Went to see sons new house yesterday absolutely beautiful he has worked so hard and now showing fruits. Of labour nice to see as parents. Having a quiet day at home but some gardening will be involved waiting to hear how poor mam is very poorly in home yesterday she's at last stage Alzheimer's and it's awful to watch need to keep busy ? Love to all happy Sunday.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Well done Annapops on your first 5k. I think I may have to wait till my next life. I did climb a mountain small hill on Thursday and I'm still recovering.
I will garden later or finish my knitting depending on the weather.
Just read your post Annapops Well done you ! The time doesn’t matter one jot. You did it and that’s all that counts.
Good morning All x
Lovely and bright here with a bit of a breeze, a good washing day !
Was watching the news on the cruise ship in Norway and when it was showing yesterday I was also watching an old film called " A Night to Remember " about the Titanic, what are the odds of a news pop-up alert telling of the grounded vessel in the middle of the film ? ------it was surreal !
D calling in at some point today between shifts at work, so I'll throw some extra roasties in the tin.
Some letter-writing to do as well so I must gather myself together for that later.
Hope everyone's day is a nice peaceful one.
A late good morning from the NE coast. It’s a beautiful sunny morning here so planning to do a bit of gardening. I’ve got a couple of large ornamental box plants that need repotting as they have outgrown their pots . I’m busy hanging washing out which should dry in no time at all.
Hope all those who are not well feel better very soon.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone x
Good morning and east London is already losing its bright blue sky. No plans for today except pick up GD from her dad's to take her back to DD when she finishes work. GD will need to do her homework which can be a struggle. Hope everyone has a satisfying day.
Good morning from a bright and sunny Aberdeenshire...there's wee smirr of frost on the cars and it's a wee bit nippy.
Was at charity quiz last night and we came second! It was a fun evening, and we raised over a £1000 for Barnardos. The mutt had to spend an evening alone and he managed to get trapped in the bathroom.
I wondered why there was no ecstatic welcome! We are off to the woods later...lots of his new mates will be there on a Sunday morning.
Have a great day everyone.
Morning all from a fairly bright South Notts. Going out for a drive later, then weekly shop. Hope all is well.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Hope everyone has a good day x
The Warner's at Studley Castle near Redditch is newly opened , March 1st to be exact and are offering opening deals for those that use them.
Mick
Good Morning from a bright and sunny Black Country. Lovely blue sky this morning.
Another coat of white paint to complete in the kitchen, why does the weather take a turn for the better when you are stuck indoors?
Hopefully manage a first cut of the lawn this afternoon though.
Hope you feel better today as the day progresses kitty
Enjoy your trip Mick, I didn't realise Warner Hotels did one night stopovers? I am going to the one in Hayling Island in June, but that is for 4 nights.
Have a lovely day everyone.
Gorgeous start to the day, blue sky and sunshine here in Letchworth.Off to my daughter's a bit later for brunch and a catch up. Will probably potter in my garden when i get back and have a tidy up in my greenhouse, it is so easy to just 'dump' things in there 'just for now'.
Morning Michael. Annie and all, from a bright and sunny Berks. We are off to hospital soon, for DH to have a CT scan, so will probably have lunch out today.
Harrigran, where we live there are so many new houses being built. I don't know how many new schools are planned, but the council, in all it's wisdom, is allowing the car parks to be built on. Where are we supposed to park, to visit the regenerated town centre shops?
To all those who are under the weather, get better soon, and enjoy your day one and all.
Good morning from a bright NE.
Probably a day at home catching up with odd jobs.
DH and I went for a walk yesterday to look at houses being built beside us, an estate of 700 houses with 3,4 and 5 bedrooms. There was no mention of building another school and the one beside us has a waiting list for entry because it is one of the best in the NE.
Day of rest for you kitty, get well soon.
Good morning all, it's quite breezy today in Glasgow.
I was hoping to potter about the garden, but rain is forecast.
I shall force myself to sit in the conservatory and read the papers. Bliss!
KItty, I hope you feel better soon, as you say, A blessing in disguise
NanKate, gird your loins, but I'm sure you will have a lovely time with your boys.
*Enjoy Stratford Mick, I have always wanted to seeeit.
Happy Sunday, everyone.
