Good morning from a beautifully sunny Birmingham! I’ll be leaving to fetch my grandaughter soon. We’ll stop at M&S for breakfast, then have a nice long walk in the park. The opera- Un Ballo in Maschera- was great last night, and our pre- show meal delicious as usual. It was my first big night out since my treatment, so a bit of a celebration.
Have a good day everyone!

Marydoll Thu 07-Mar-19 07:24:41

Good morning all from a wet Glasgow, I'm envious of everyone's clear skies!
Glad to see you home safely Mick.

I'm having a day in and just pottering about, unless we get a call regarding DGD's asthma and she won't be at nursery. She has had another flare up, I feel history is repeating itself. We had some scary episodes, when my son was her age.

Enjoy your celebration Gaga, wishing all apleasant day. all.

Greyduster Thu 07-Mar-19 07:31:13

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It is cold and breezy in South Yorkshire but the sun is doing its best to put in an appearance. Domestic stuff to do this morning, and school run this afternoon. Marydoll sorry to hear your GD is struggling again, poor bairn. I had shocking asthma until the age of eleven and still remember how awful it was ?. Have a good day folks.

Marydoll Thu 07-Mar-19 07:38:28

Thanks, Greyduster, thank goodness all my nagging has paid off , she now has an asthma plan from the hospital.
It's a terrible condition, nearly killed me, as a newly wed at twenty one.

Good morning from a bright, sunny E. Northants. After an exhausting day of cleaning at great granddaughters house yesterday, I hardly slept a wink last night. Is there such a thing as being over tired? Friend visiting from Coventry today, although I feel more like going back to bed than entertaining. Have a pleasant day everyone!

HiMick and All

Very quick check in from Sussex trying to sort breakfast while DH gets the 2 DGSs ready for WORLD BOOK DAY. we have been invited into school to see all the children ?

Kalu Thu 07-Mar-19 07:48:46

Morning all, still dreich in Perthshire but calm and mild....trying to look on the ‘bright’ side here? as I am feeling a bit better today.

World book day outfit this year for DGD2 is Winnie the Pooh. Grampa’s suggestion of a bread roll and some lentils could be Roald Dhal went down like a lead ballon but with a giggle and oh Grampa!?

Hope your DGD has a fun day at nursery with no sign of a flare up Marydoll.

Good Morning.
It is blustery here on S Glam coast but lovely and sunny.

Dog sitting again today. Cleaner coming later this morning, don't know what I'd do without her especially now as I'm immobile.

Gaga hope all enjoy their birthday ?

Nanabanana1 Thu 07-Mar-19 07:52:30

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Staying in as expecting a delivery, plenty to keep me occupied.
Pleased you enjoyed the musical Mick, but one big sing-along is the reason I don't go to them.
Dora, that is one Verdi opera I haven't seen, sounds as if you had a lovely evening.

megan123 Thu 07-Mar-19 07:58:07

Good morning all from a very wet Derbyshire. Snow forecast for later this afternoon!
Hope you all have a good day.

BlueSapphire Thu 07-Mar-19 08:00:54

Good morning all from a really bright and sunny Northampton. Very cold too, as I have just popped out to the bins in my dressing-gown! (Apologies to the neighbours)!
Had a good walk yesterday and managed to get a lot of jobs done at home.
Will be doing kitchen floor this morning, expecting Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon, and trying to read more of my book club book.
Hope everyone's day goes well.

A late good morning from the NE coast . I’m at “that place” early today then dashing out for an hour to take the baby for her swimming lesson.

So sorry to hear your DGD’s asthma has flared up again Marydoll it must be very scary for her. Is it something she might grow out of ? ( excuse my ignorance) I’m sure my DDiL had it as a child and grew out of it ?

Mamma Mia sounds great Mick my DGD’s and I I love the film, so would really enjoy the musical sing a long . smile

Good morning everyone from a very sunny Essex by the sea. Day four of the big bathroom refit, oh how I hate all the mess and dust !! I keep telling myself how wonderful it will look when it's finished.
Shopping first thing then having my hair cut. I have very sore eyes at the moment, will call in at the chemist to see what they can recommend.
Have a good day everyone.

aggie Thu 07-Mar-19 08:09:43

Morning All , wet and the rain is horizontal .... sigh

oldgaijin Thu 07-Mar-19 08:13:49

Greetings from a dreich, cold and wet Aberdeenshire.
Had a lovely surprise outing last night with my great chum from NTS days...tea out then a showing in the library of 'Edie', played by Sheila Hancock. A great little film, filmed in Sutherland about an old lady who climbed Suilven...magnificent scenery.
Daughter starts out today from Bucks to head North with the dog, houseplants etc....she reckons she'll do the journey in a day. Their household goods went off yesterday. heading for Singapore, so their departure is imminent and I am a sad Mummy/Grandma.
Have a happy day everyone.

NannyJan53 Thu 07-Mar-19 08:19:37

Good Morning from a very bright and sunny Black Country.

Partner working from home today, so I will pop out to the gym this morning, then it is the monthly U3A meeting this afternoon.

Sorry about your DGD's Asthma flare up Marydoll I hope it can be managed and she will hopefully grow out of it? I developed it in my 50's, and no-one had any idea why!

I have started suffering with sore eyes the last few years Sar53, and it has started earlier this year (usually April/May) I take Loratadine and you can buy a pack from Aldi for about 80p. They work just the same as the more expensive ones, for me anyway.

Have a good day everyone.

Brunette10 Thu 07-Mar-19 08:24:33

Good Morning all from a dull and wet Fife. Think I am on the mend. The day will tell. Oh Marydoll hope DGD is ok, it must be such a worry. Glad to hear you are feeling better Kalu - hope it continues. Another day in for me. Hope today is good to everyone.
