After many months lurking, I dipping my toes and posting my first thread!!! flowers

I have a long train journey coming up and I've heard alot about podcasts from my DD but never actually listened to 1. Does anyone listen to them and have any recomendations? I could really do with something to pass the time x

It depends what you enjoy listening to really - I tend to have podcasts of programmes like File on 4, Analysis, Thinking Aloud, Round Britain Quiz for train/ car journeys

Thank you maryeliza54. I will have a look at those suggestions and see what they're about smile I also love reading fiction so wonder if there are any good podcasts on books?

BBC's A Good Read, Open Book and World Book Club have a huge archive of podcasts to download.

Why not download an audio book? If you Google you will find out what is available free for your device.

Also, if you enjoy listening to people discussing the lives of writers, it's worth checking the archives of Matthew Parris's Great Lives series and Melvyn Bragg's In Our Time.

Another good one is The New Yorker: Fiction. A guest chooses a story from the magazine's archive to read aloud and discuss.
