I went to the Post Office to have some new passport photos taken - they were so bad that even DH accompanied me to the counter to complain about them.

We got a refund.

However, the next place I had them done wasn't much better, but at least they didn't make me look like a fugitive from justice.
I look like someone no-one could argue with.

I think some evil wizardry has taken place in my sleep as the face in the mirror/ photographs definitely does not belong to my body!!!

Had one taken for a bus pass.....would have felt bad enough if my Mother had appeared in print but, shock horror, it was Granny?

When younger my photo was at least passable but now whenever I see a camera appear I scuttle away. A good time to slip away for a loo visit.?

I never realised until I had my photo taken at the PO that I appear in black and white.
(hence the refund, not the glowering 'approach me if you dare' expression).

I had my passport photos taken at a shop which gives a digital code to put straight into the application form. It's absolutely awful. The one taken in the photo booth for my bus pass was much better. I actually looked under 100 in it.

Purpledaffodil while looking at some household hints stuff on YouTube recently, I succumbed to "click bait" and found myself learning about how to look slimmer in photos by using sellotape!

I look OK on photos but I don't look like me. No, that's not bragging - false hair, false teeth, someone else entirely. Not what I planned

Mine was taken for a new passport a few weeks ago and I look like sodapop as though I have spent a few years in prison and have not come to terms with anything.

It is done, I do not have to look at it again as it is only for ID when I give up my driving licence.

My passport photo doesn't look anything like me. Yes, the wrinkly old woman is me but why aren't we allowed to smile any more? It's the glum frowning expression that helps to make me look as if I'm on the run!

Don't they do airbrushing ? Skinny things.No imagination.

Plan it carefully, do not smile but lift the corners of your lips slightly as if abut to break into a smile. It is undetectable as a smile, but improves the resulting photo no end.

I'll know in a couple of weeks if they'll let me back into the country. The amazing thing is that they accepted me in NZ. Granny from hell!

My driving licence photo is just awful. Even DH ( bless him) was at a loss for words. I look as if I an sucking on a lemon. And old !

My latest driving licence photo actually looks like one of those Jane Doe photos they take of a corpse! How anybody recognises me from my passport photo beats me. As I usually smile at people when I am speaking to them surely they should allow a smile on the photos. My bus pass photo is lovely, taken by a young lady with a camera in the office where I applied for it. Yes I smiled and am recognisable even with a different hairstyle!

I have the same old hag leap in the photo each time I renew my Blue Badge.

I've got proof she's following me because she appears in all my previous, out of date badges and somehow sneaked on to my passport.

However, ha ha to her because she's looking worse every time whereas I am retaining my youthful looks.

So funny! When I last applied for my passport renewal the woman in the post office took one look at the photo in my old passport and the new one and said she didn't think they'd accept the new one as I'd changed too much!! Tell me about it

I still have the green driving licence so haven't had that indignity yet but I'll shortly be eligible for a bus pass so will have to suffer the dreaded booth to get a photo. Might be better to just admit defeat and walk everywhere!

Does this mean we do actually look better in real life than in a passport photo? And I was seriously thinking of adopting a burka-like garment when out and about.

Has anyone tried this "ten year" craze that is all over the internet?

My phone face recognition didn't recognise my face this morning!

I am always amazed when using my 'Senior Pass' on the train that the Ticket Collector does not question that the photo is me! I am a bit miffed about it actually
