Hi everyone
Yesterday I received an email from my electricity supplier, saying that in order to avoid shock winter bills, they have decided to decrease the bills that we pay from March to October, and then increase them by a sum of approximately £64.00 per month from October to March!! This to me seems an absolutely ridiculous thing to do, as it means that people will be happily spending the extra cash in the summer months, and then suddenly, when they've just started thinking about Christmas approaching and how they're going to pay for everything, be faced with finding a huge amount of extra cash for bills. Surely it's better to continue with the old method of the same amount each month all year round, in order that people know what their regular outgoings are, or am I being daft?
Would love to hear your thoughts on it, and if anyone else has received this email, how they feel about it, as it doesn't look as if we have any choice but to go with what they want or find another supplier.
