Good morning everyone

I was woken up at 5.00 by torrential rain here in Kent. It didn't last long but I couldn't get back to sleep.
DH was already down stairs, so I'll be stripping the bed to do the laundry when I summon the energy to get out of it.
Have a good day everyone.

sodapop Sat 10-Nov-18 06:48:22

Morning nina it's windy and wet here too. I'm up early to fill in for a sick colleague at my volunteer job. Didn't want to get out of my warm bed.

Good Morning Nina and thanks for opening up in Mick's absence. Hope he hasn't been affected by the bad weather in the south-west.

We had a wet and windy night but it seems to have eased off now and DH is going to venture out with the bike club. I am going to the matinee of a musical play about a local family livng through WW1 this afternoon, then it's Strictly this evening. Looking forward to both.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Morning nina, morning all

It's soggy in North Leicestershire as we had heavy rain overnight.

A buts and bobs day today fir me but definitely cooking brunch for Dh and DS1 and watching strictly this evening.

And packing for a couple of days away!

Good morning, Nina and thankyou for taking in Mick’s mantle while he is away. Good morning, Kitty, Gaga and Sodapop. It is shaping up to be a clear day in South Yorkshire. We were going out to watch GS run in a cross country this morning, but my neice’s lovely husband died last night so I will go and see her. I am devastate beyond words. I hope the day brings brighter things to you all.

Good morning everyone from a dry Essex by the sea. Looks like it has been raining overnight. OH has a hospital appointment this morning then it's the start of the C*****mas shopping for our 10 DGC . One DGD is 7 today so will be ringing later to wish her a happy birthday. Hope the weekend is a happy one for everyone.

Good morning nina and everyone. Lots of wind and rain yesterday evening here in Lancashire but looking calm just now.
Going to cinema this afternoon with dgd, an unexpected treat.
Have a good day.

Grey sincere condolences to you and your family flowers

Good morning, Nina and all to come. Damp, but it's stopped raining in Northampton and a clear sky.
Woken up by two hungry cats at 6.15, and then discovered that one of them had been sick on a spare room bed! So bed stripped and washing machine on - it had soaked right through the duvet and through to the bottom sheet. Will be taking the duvet to the cleaners. Luckily had a mattress protector on so the mattress is ok.
Going to a Remembrance concert and service at a town church this evening. DD's concert band is playing a selection of music from both world wars, so I am looking forward to that, especially seeing DD playing her flute again.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning, folks!

I went to sleep soon after 8 last night to the sound of lashing rain on the bedroom window. Woke up to drizzle but it's supposed to clear up later. I'm beginning to get the feeling weather forecasts for us are, let's say, optimistic rather than accurate. Hope to do some garden work today.

gd, flowers

Good morning Nina and all.
A damp day here in Glasgow, but it seems quite mild.
Flu jabs this morning then a few bits and bobs at Morrisons.
I've had sewing jobs lying since the new kitchen was started, so I'm going to get my machine out try and finish them off today.
GD what sad news for you. flowers
Have a pleasant Saturday, everyone.

Good morningnina goodmorning everyone. The sun is just about to come up over the rooves of the houses and into the clear sky. Last nights blustery rainstorm seems to have blown away. Last night saw the excellent film Peterloo. No plans for today other than making a couple of Christmas cakes.

So sorry to hear your sad news gdflowers

Brunette10 Sat 10-Nov-18 07:56:09

Firstly, Greyduster I'm so sorry to hear your news. So sad.

It's bright enough here at the moment in Fife but I believe we have to get rain later. Only plans so far today is to choose our Christmas wine with out double-up points from Sains. No doubt there will be other things to do. Enjoy your day as much as you can everyone.

Good morning all. Dry and bright in East Northants after a rainy night. Calling round to check on a friend this morning after she telephoned very distressed late last night. She had damaged her car hitting a kerb, trying to avoid an idiot on the road and just needed someone to talk to. We both agreed - circumstances like that are the worst thing about returning to an empty house. Later I will be visiting Wood Green animal shelter with my son - still hoping to find a little (cat friendly) rescue dog! Hugs to those who need it and a pleasant day to all.

MawBroon Sat 10-Nov-18 07:58:55

Good morning all from not very sunny Walthamstow where it absolutely chucked it down all night.
DD2 took me to “Company” at the Gielgud last night which was absolutely stunning. Shaftesbury Avenue in the rain and the tube at theatre coming out time were absolutely manic. This country bumpkin is not used to that any more!
Meeting up with DD3 for brunch later this morning, then going home and DD1 is coming to stay the night.
Lovely to have their support and indeed all the support of my GN friends- thank you!
Wishing you all a pleasant -and dry - day.

Good morning from a brightening Colchester. Rained in the night but dry now.
Getting over the full on day we had yesterday with the grandsons today.

Big hugs to Greyduster.

Auntieflo Sat 10-Nov-18 08:22:15

Morning Nina, Annie to come and all others.
Greyduster, so sorry to hear the sad news of your niece’s husband.
It was a soggy night, but drying now, and the sun is struggling to show it’s face.
Shopping later this morning, after our usual meet up for coffee with friends.
Met our new neighbour yesterday afternoon. She is delightful and they have a new baby due fairly soon.
I should also be stripping the bed Nina, but it can wait another day.
For all those who watch Strictly, enjoy, but we haven’t been bitten by the bug, so it’s not for us.
Have a good day one and all.

harrigran Sat 10-Nov-18 08:25:11
