Good Mick and NannyJan, it's a damp start here in Glasgow.
We have DGD today and I suspect she will be a little high on sugar after going out "Trick or treating", for the first time last night with her mum.
I'm not sure what our plans are, but I know they will definitely include painting, her new hobby. The other day, she decided to paint herself.

I am very lucky Marydoll Mum is 88 and her sisters are 85 and 75.

Just got back from taking DD to work. Hopeful her car will be sorted over the weekend.
DH was supposed to do his last gardening job for the year today, that won't happen.

Raining in Norfolk and forecast to do so all day.

The plumber is coming early this morning to fit a nice new high tap in the utility room and I’ll have to excavate the masses of stuff jammed into the cupboard underneath before he comes. Must get dressed and started!

Met some friends unexpectedly in town yesterday, had a long chat. Ended up with them inviting me for lunch on Saturday, which I am looking forward to.

The film yesterday (A Star is Born) was excellent, great music, and what a good actor Lady Gaga is.

Sainsbury's delivering later this morning, will wash kitchen floor once they've been. Home delivery is wonderful when you need bulky stuff like cat litter etc!

More sorting of old photographs today I think.

Going to hairdressers this evening, they have a beauty event on, includes glass of fizz!

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It is a dull, damp, cold day in South Yorkshire. My cold is cooking nicely, but I have to get my hair cut today, go over to DD’s to stock up her fridge before they get back from holiday tomorrow, and DH wants to pop into the local auction gallery to look at a lot he is interested in leaving a bid for. Marydoll, hope things are ok with you and I'm sure your DGD will be on top form today chatting away about her 'trick and treating' last night. I remember the days! Good morning from rainy Colchester. A quiet day here but I'm sure I'll keep myself occupied.

A wet grey start to the day here in Letchworth. Not planning to do anything exciting today just my supermarket shop, then i will no doubt hunker down this afternoon to do my knitting- trying to finish a pair of knitted slippers,- then off to whist this evening.

We had quite a few children came to the door last night, all very polite and with a grown up standing at the end of the drive. Laughed at one young girl who was dressed as a white unicorn and told her she wasn't scary, she told me that it was the first thing that fell out of her wardrobe when she opened the door ?

Mary Oxford is a lovely town to visit, it is lively and has many Colleges you can look round. The Natural History Museum and the Pitt Rivers Museum next to it are fascinating. On the downside there are many people living on the streets and it is a very busy place where you need to look out for the cyclists, no doubt Glasgow is similar.

Morning all! It's quite wet here on the south coast but much milder.

Had a problem with the car last night when I went to choir. I had just parked up and wanted to straighten it out a bit but the steering lock jammed and I couldn't move it no matter how I tried so had to ring DH to come to my rescue, which he did. I have weak thumbs and wrists and it takes real effort to loosen the steering lock. One of the chaps in the bass section said he would have come and done it for me but I hadn't liked to ask. Hey ho.

Quiet day planned today. Hope it's a good one for us all.

Damp but not as cold as it was which pleases me as my legs do their own thing and don't work properly in the cold because of circulatory problems. But hey-ho it's nothing compared with many x Stay well Everyone.

Good morning, grey day here in the south east. Sitting down right now with a coffee, having done a pile of ironing. Forcing myself to go to the gym later. A bit of shopping in my local high street pm making sure I get back in time for "Four in a Bed".

It was very grey and wet earlier, but in the last half hour the sky has lightened up a bit, though still grey.
Going for a walk soon, then back to a pile of ironing!
