Sorry Auntieflo that’s the way I read it in today’s paper. All I can say is ‘poor bairns!’.

I believe their other children have quite normal names so I'm thinking we can safely assume Ping and Pong are sweet little nicknames

I hope 'grannyben is right and in fact I believe she is.

I understood that they were temporary names till they made a decision.

I also don't think the twins are really going to be called Ping and Pong. However, as temporary nicknames, I think they're rather clever.

Unlike Chris Evans Melanie thank goodness he is off to pastures new taking his family with him.

How about Ying and Yang?

I hope, for pong's sake they decide on a name soon.

No doubt they will stick as nicknames

I swore if I ever had twins I would call them Luke and Leia*

*at least until DH realised I was pulling his leg

Knowing what a pratt he is I’m surprised he didn’t call them Brahms and Liszt. Just so relieved he is going.

Come on! They were called Ping and Pong in the womb! Did none of you do that? One of ours was Blodwen, another Ethel!!

I don’t remember naming the babies before they were born but I did have a boyfriend who called my boobs Pinky and Perky

They have named them Walt and Boo

My DGC were called little sprout, speck and stavros before they were born.

Apologies really for starting this, My DH read the name thing out to me yesterday, as I hadn't heard about the names before.
When our three were little, we called them Herbert, Sherbet and Little Bit.
BlueBelle, after recent surgery, I also now have a Pinky and Perky

Mine were just babies, never gave them nicknames.
I swear celebrities give their children strange names so that they will be remembered. Thinking of Jamie Oliver ... ' oh him that had five kids all with twee names '.

DD was Herbert ( DH's idea)
However, the DD have their own nicknames for each other as do DIL and her sister.
None of which I could reveal on here

My youngest son was Cuthbert before he was born!

My Dad used to call me and my bother and sister : Iona (me), Tiree (brother) and Muck (sister)! Scottish Islands if people don't know.
My sister wasn't very happy with her nickname!

All of ours had 'tummy names' - gave them beautiful traditional names at birth. They often get called tummy names still, by us and to each other.

(Apologise for not saying, but they would be very obvious to anyone who knew of our tribe)
