Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, grey and wet here in Brackley this morning, see how the day develops as to things, my weighing scales are playing up as well.

Morning Mick. Morning All. Dark and very wet in our corner of Somerset. Suspect a quiet day ahead, slept for 16 hours, lurgy still with me but I think (hope) less so today. What sort of scales are letting you down Mick? People scales or food scales? Stay safe everyone, some nasty weather forecast.

Marydoll Thu 20-Sept-18 06:39:58

Good morning *Mick and all who follow. Dull and grey here in Glasgow, but at least the wind has died down.
Yesterday was scary!
Mick, do your scales perhaps need a new battery?
A day of pottering about. We have DDG today, who is unwell again. Her asthma has flared up and she had to see the doctor yesterday. Lots of cuddles, baking Chelsea buns to welcome home day daddy (who has been away all week) and watching "Frozen" should fill our day.
Have a good day everyone.

Marydoll Thu 20-Sept-18 06:40:51

Morning Corner, hope you feel better as the day goes on.

Morning everyone.

Dull day in Kent but at least we have a strong breeze rather than yesterdays gales.
DH away helping a friend for a few days. I have to call him and tell him his sister has died sad they weren't close but still not good.
Have a good day GNers

cornergran Thu 20-Sept-18 06:58:01

So sorry nina, a hard thing to do,

Try putting the scales somewhere warm mick, let them dry thoroughly on their own and as marydoll says a new battery may sort it. Life gets complicated with ‘stuff’ sometimes.

DoraMarr Thu 20-Sept-18 07:00:53

Good morning Mick, Annie and everyone. Dull and quite cold here on the Somerset coast. The family are all going to Butlins for the day, but I think "Toddler day" sounds like torture, so I'm thinking of a trip on a steam train instead.

DoraMarr Thu 20-Sept-18 07:02:43

I have an electronic scale too- I don't know what's wrong with it, it consistently reads a whole stone heavier....,

kittylester Thu 20-Sept-18 07:03:19

Crumbs, nina, poor DH and poor you.

North Leicestershire is very wet and fairly windy and I have a Sainsbury's shop to do. A vast supermarket car park can be a bleak place when it's wet and windy.

Marydoll, I know it's not right to be pleased but having a lazy day with a slightly poorly grandchild is quite a nice thing! blush

Morning Mick, morning corner.

My post seems to be upside down this morning!

Nana3 Thu 20-Sept-18 07:05:07

Good morning from Lancashire, feels colder this morning. I was out in the wind yesterday, branches falling everywhere, very scary. Also drove in the dark, didn't like it at all.
Hope your dgd is better today Marydoll, you too corner.
Condolences to you and yours nina.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all from a dark, wet East Northants. Pottering day for me and maybe some wardrobe and drawer sorting, ready for Autumn. Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

gillybob Thu 20-Sept-18 07:38:08

Good morning Mick and everyone.

Another night with very little sleep. Dashing around like a headless chicken now as running late. School run, then that place.....thank goodness it’s Friday Eve.

Have a good Thursday all. x

NannyJan53 Thu 20-Sept-18 07:40:40

Good morning from a very rainy Black Country.

It is that time of year again.....I am a year older.... 65 today! Will spend it with Mum as partner is at work. Big family meal Saturday to celebrate...15 of us.

Dora I have one of those scales grin

So sorry nina not a good phone call to make flowers

I hope your DGD will feel better soon after a day of cuddles and pampering from you Marydoll

Mick I would try a new battery.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning, dry and sunny start in the NE.
Washing day I think, to get all summer clothes washed and ironed before putting away for the winter.

Marydoll Thu 20-Sept-18 07:48:51

Good morning from a dull, wet but warm N. Bucks.
Breakfast done and now trying to persuade DGS2 to get dressed. Probably indoor play centre today but hope to get in a walk in the air if the rain stops.
Sewing club this evening.
Happy Birthday NannyJan.

Bright and breezy here in North Yorkshire so far but heavy rain expected. Just have time to put the autumn feed on the garden before a pub lunch with a friend.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning everybody. Very cloudy here in Surrey but not raining at the moment. I am booked on a coach trip today to Leeds Castle to see their flower festival. I have put a fold up Mac in my bag but hoping for dry weather. Then tea with children and grandchildren tonight so hopefully a nice day. Have a lovely day whatever you do.

kittylester Thu 20-Sept-18 08:18:37

Many happy returns nanajan!wine

Gagagran Thu 20-Sept-18 08:23:07

Morning everyone!

It's dull and breezy and very mild here on the south coast. We have avoided the storm so many of you have had - so far. It is autumn and we often seem to get storms rolling in then.

We've done the supermarket run and are just having breakfast before DH has to visit the eye clinic at 9.45am. The optician saw some bleeding behind his eye at a recent eye test so referred him. Fingers crossed it's not serious.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Pittcity Thu 20-Sept-18 08:27:49

Good morning from Colchester, where the sun is peeping out from behind grey clouds. Breezy and drizzly is today's forecast.
Laundry and shopping today.

I think gillybob means her workplace, which is not her happy place, willow10

Happy Birthday NannyJan53 flowers
