Good morning Mick, Annie and all. I am another latecomer this morning. It's one of those grey wet days here. DH was going to get a haircut, saw the rain and has put it off till later. I had mine done yesterday [smug emoticon]!
When we were out yesterday, in windy Bracknell, a piece of foil wrapped, foam insulation blew down from a high roof and bounced around amongst the shoppers. Caused a bit if a shock, but hit nobody, thank goodness.
I am trying to summon up some enthusiasm to make a lasagne, it's not working yet.
Have a good day one and all, and t all those under the weather, get better soon.

Thank you all for the birthday good wishes. flowers

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I am late this morning. We are set to have a wet day in South Yorkshire, though it hasn’t started yet. Having sneezed myself to a standstill yesterday I am hoping that whatever triggered that has been “dampened down”! So far so good. Happy birthday NannyJan! Bore da, Anniebach! Have a good day folks.

Thank you Pittcity, I did wonder! Happy birthday Nannyjan53 flowerscupcake.

Just filled two bags for the charity shop - so why is there still no room in the drawer? confused

Good morning Auntyflo, GrannyGravy and all x

Wet and windy in Mid Wales.

Blue45Sapphire Thu 20-Sept-18 08:43:45

Good morning everyone from a very wet Northampton. Daughter has just left for work (she stayed over last night after wine club; we tasted a very nice selection of South African reds last night!). Expecting a Sainsbury's grocery delivery, so had better get dressed! Will potter this morning and try to fill charity sack for tomorrow. Then out to the surgery pm for my flu jab. Probably drop into Sainsbury's afterwards for a cup of coffee.

Good morning from Colchester, where the sun is peeping out from behind grey clouds. Breezy and drizzly is today's forecast.
Laundry and shopping today.

I think gillybob means her workplace, which is not her happy place, willow10

Happy Birthday NannyJan53 flowers

Morning everyone!

It's dull and breezy and very mild here on the south coast. We have avoided the storm so many of you have had - so far. It is autumn and we often seem to get storms rolling in then.

We've done the supermarket run and are just having breakfast before DH has to visit the eye clinic at 9.45am. The optician saw some bleeding behind his eye at a recent eye test so referred him. Fingers crossed it's not serious.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Morning everybody. Very cloudy here in Surrey but not raining at the moment. I am booked on a coach trip today to Leeds Castle to see their flower festival. I have put a fold up Mac in my bag but hoping for dry weather. Then tea with children and grandchildren tonight so hopefully a nice day. Have a lovely day whatever you do.

NanKate Thu 20-Sept-18 08:14:24

Very happy birthday NannyJan have a lovely day and lunch with your Mum.

It sounds very warm and nice in your kitchen Marydoll baking cakes and watching Frozen. My two GSs sing some of the songs from the film at full throttle ?? Hope little one feels better soon.

Nina ?

Happy birthday NannyJan
Bright and breezy here in North Yorkshire so far but heavy rain expected. Just have time to put the autumn feed on the garden before a pub lunch with a friend.
Have a good day everyone.

ginny Thu 20-Sept-18 08:03:33

Good morning from a dull, wet but warm N. Bucks.
Breakfast done and now trying to persuade DGS2 to get dressed. Probably indoor play centre today but hope to get in a walk in the air if the rain stops.
Sewing club this evening.
Happy Birthday NannyJan.

Willow10 Thu 20-Sept-18 07:56:16

Happy Birthday, NannyJan53. ?flowers

harrigran Thu 20-Sept-18 07:46:03

Good morning, dry and sunny start in the NE.
Washing day I think, to get all summer clothes washed and ironed before putting away for the winter.

aggie Thu 20-Sept-18 07:42:26

Good Morning all , bright dry and still here today , so glad the wind has gone , a lot cooler too . Tempting to fall back to bed but I have to go out soon

NannyJan53 Thu 20-Sept-18 07:40:40

Good morning from a very rainy Black Country.

It is that time of year again.....I am a year older.... 65 today! Will spend it with Mum as partner is at work. Big family meal Saturday to celebrate...15 of us.

Dora I have one of those scales grin

So sorry nina not a good phone call to make flowers

I hope your DGD will feel better soon after a day of cuddles and pampering from you Marydoll

Mick I would try a new battery.

Have a good day everyone.

gillybob Thu 20-Sept-18 07:38:08

Good morning Mick and everyone.

Another night with very little sleep. Dashing around like a headless chicken now as running late. School run, then that place.....thank goodness it’s Friday Eve.

Have a good Thursday all. x

Willow10 Thu 20-Sept-18 07:30:09

Good morning all from a dark, wet East Northants. Pottering day for me and maybe some wardrobe and drawer sorting, ready for Autumn. Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.

Nana3 Thu 20-Sept-18 07:05:07

Good morning from Lancashire, feels colder this morning. I was out in the wind yesterday, branches falling everywhere, very scary. Also drove in the dark, didn't like it at all.
Hope your dgd is better today Marydoll, you too corner.
Condolences to you and yours nina.
Have a good day everyone.

kittylester Thu 20-Sept-18 07:03:19

Crumbs, nina, poor DH and poor you.

North Leicestershire is very wet and fairly windy and I have a Sainsbury's shop to do. A vast supermarket car park can be a bleak place when it's wet and windy.

Marydoll, I know it's not right to be pleased but having a lazy day with a slightly poorly grandchild is quite a nice thing! blush

Morning Mick, morning corner.

My post seems to be upside down this morning!

DoraMarr Thu 20-Sept-18 07:02:43

I have an electronic scale too- I don't know what's wrong with it, it consistently reads a whole stone heavier....,

DoraMarr Thu 20-Sept-18 07:00:53

Good morning Mick, Annie and everyone. Dull and quite cold here on the Somerset coast. The family are all going to Butlins for the day, but I think "Toddler day" sounds like torture, so I'm thinking of a trip on a steam train instead.

cornergran Thu 20-Sept-18 06:58:01

So sorry nina, a hard thing to do,

Try putting the scales somewhere warm mick, let them dry thoroughly on their own and as marydoll says a new battery may sort it. Life gets complicated with ‘stuff’ sometimes.
