Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey and wet start here in Brackley this morning, quite day for me,
Mick
What is our role as older people?
Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey and wet start here in Brackley this morning, quite day for me,
Mick
Morning Mick, morning all!
It's dry and windy in North Leicestershire this morning.
Boiler service booked in this morning and school run in Derby this afternoon and home to an empty house as dh will be at the football.
Enjoy your days everyone.
Morning Mick, kitty and everyone!
It's dull and overcast here on the south coast and we are forecast strong winds later.
The plumber finally turned up to look at our CH at 6pm last night. He serviced the boiler in July and we had not tried it (apart from the Hot Water which works fine) until Saturday night.
Despite consulting Dr Google, DH could not get the CH to turn on. Apparently we need a new thermostat/control panel in the hall, which we are to get and he will fit. He did, however, show DH how to do something with the receiver unit to turn on the CH manually. The unit model we have now is apparently out of stock everywhere on the internet. Hey ho!
Have a good day folks!
Morning all.
Dry and fairly bright this morning in York. Day three of our building project and the building inspector is coming to check out the footings before the arrival of the cement lorry. I'm sure I'm too old to be getting excited about big machinery.
Off to my new painting class today. Can't wait, as I've been told great things about the teacher.
Have a good day everyone
Morning All
It was cloudy in Norfolk first thing, but is now brightening and still feels unseasonably warm.
I’m off to the hospital for a ‘routine’ endoscopy this morning, so only water for breakfast. My tum is feeling severely neglected.
Morning Mick, morning All from a bright but very windy corner of Somerset. The brightness is all outside as there’s a sore throat and ear pain with all over achey-ness in Corner-land. Worse things I know but after little sleep for me I’m fairly grumpy. Mr C has slept soundly and so is blissfully unaware of what is to come. Please wish him luck. Keep safe everyone.
Good morning everyone. The rain has just started and the sky is looking very ominous and darker than when I first got up.
Corner, my sore throat has now left me hoarse. There will be shouts of joy in our house today, as DH enjoys the peace! I hope you feel better soon.
Old Goat, I hope the building inspector approves. Despite my worries, our building inspector turned out to be a very nice man, who not only SIGNED off the extension, but was SINGING it's praises!
NFK, good luck today.
I hope everyone's boilers problems are resolved quickly, I can't bear being cold.❄
Good morning all from a warm and windy East Northants. Off to my weekly archery session this morning, followed by coffee and putting the world to rights in Waitrose. Hope you feel better soon cornergran. Have a good day everyone.
Blue skies with some clouds here in Letchworth this morning. I have been reflecting on last night's 40th birthday meal and so happy it was a great success. I think a few of the young ones will be nursing a slight hung over feeling this morning, as they all trundled off to a bar after the meal to finish off the evening, us oldies trundled home to bed!!! Now back to normal today, supermarket shopping then a club committee meeting this evening. Note to myself to sharpen my pencils as i take the minutes and the chairperson does love to discuss a multitude of issues.
Good morning from a grey but warm Colchester.
Usual Wednesday coffee meet up in town this morning.
Good morning Mick,Kitty,Gaga,Oldgoat, Nfk, Cornergran and all to follow.
Very high winds overnight but a beautiful bright and sunny morning this morning. Still a bit windy though. School runs, then off to that place.
Enjoy your painting class Oldgoat and I hope the CH is sorted soonGaga at least it has started acting up now and not waited until the bleak mid winter to pack up.
Good luck with the endoscopy Nfk I’ve had a few of those over the years, always tell myself next time I will be sedated, but never do so it’s can’t be all that bad. Wishing it over with for you though.
Best of luck to Mr Corner (forgive me but I am not sure what for) things are always seem a million times worse when you haven’t slept Cornergran .
Have a good Wednesday everyone.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Depending on which window you look out of, it is either sunny or very grey this morning in South Yorkshire! But whichever window, it is still blowing hard. DH has a routine medical appointment this morning, and I am doing battle with the ironing. Have a good day folks!
Morning Mick and All.
Sorry you feel so unwell Corner take care. I have emerged from my migraine haze and am back to my old self, thank heavens.
Sorry about your hoarse throat Mary I will send round Dr Gillesbie who you sent to me yesterday. I have to report he is rather old and hairy now, but the medicine in his medical bag seemed to do the trick, funnily enough it smelt and tasted like ? whisky.
Good morning all. Very windy still in N. Bucks.
Yoga later this morning after I have made a lasagne. Craft club outing this afternoon.
Staying at DD3s tonight as she has an early start a d SIL is away. I’m on DGS duty.
Best wishes to all those who are poorly, getting better or have appointments.
Good morning Annie and everyone. Cooler today in this corner of Somerset, with rain promised. I’m going to the shop for croissants and pains au chocolat for everyone, then I’m going on a guided walk around Dunster, so I hope it keeps dry. I had a lovely time on the beach with second granddaughter yesterday, building sandcastles in the rain!
Oh gilly I’m a seriously grumpy soul without sleep so Mr C is definitely in need of luck today. Suspect his hearing aid will be turned off
.
Good morning from a bright and breezy North Yorkshire. Gales forecast for today. Car has gone to be serviced so I am confined to barracks. Pottering and knitting for me I think. Hope the poorly people are feeling better. Have a good day.
Morning all, from a windy but brighter morning in Northampton. Just going to put some washing out, then down to M&S food and Sainsbury's for a few bits. Calling in at the charity shop on the way to drop a couple of things off. Daughter coming over after work then we are going to our ladies wine club this evening - can't wait!
Good morning from the balmy NE.
DH has a hospital appointment in 40 minutes, so why is he still here ?
I will be faffing about until he returns.
DH should be going to meet his cronies this afternoon so with a bit of luck I will catch up with recorded TV.
Good Morning all from a bright and breezy Black Country.
Just a pootling and faffing day today, catching up on housework and ironing, and sorting out what I need to pack for our holiday to Malaga next week
Sounds like you are having a very enjoyable time away Dora I went away with DD and family in July to Wales, and it is lovely spending time with them on holiday.
Hope you both feel better soon Marydoll Corner it is very miserable having sore throats.
Enjoy your Wednesday all
Good Morning all, later start today. Just waiting for Storm Ali to pounce upon us in Fife. Very dark and grey at the moment. A day for the house. Have my DH to look after after a visit to hospital yesterday. Wish me luck! Have a good day to all and I hope the day turns out good for everyone.
Good to see you, Brunette.
I was wondering about your husband.
Good morning Michael, Annie to come and all GN's. Sunny, bright and breezy here. It seemed to get dark earlier last night! Haircut later this morning, then a promise of lunch out, nice.
Central heating service and car service, both need booking. Trees can't be trimmed until end Oct.
I saw a car number plate yesterday that I loved. Part of it was * FAF, Would suit me.
To all with health problems, best wishes, and have a good day.
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning everybody (for the first time from me) from the NE of Scotland. Very wild during the night but now I think it’s the lull before the storm. Ironing today in preparation for the holiday on Friday - a chance to catch up on missed television programmes.
