There is a thread still in existence about what animal you think reflects you. I naturally picked Sloth, but now I'm having regrets. We always refer to animals as "dumb animals", but on reflection I think it's very presumptuous of me to align myself with any animal.
On the other hand I have no qualms with doing the same with the human animal. wink
On a bad day I'm "Victor Meldrew", and on a very bad day (not very often), I'm Alf Garnett. sad
But on more frequent very good happy days I'm a Goon! So bye-bye Sloth; happy dreams!
Just call me Eccles! grin

I have been called Hyacinth Bouquet by OH who thinks I am a fuss pot. (When merely reminding him to leave the loo seat down!)

GrannyGravy13 Sun 16-Sept-18 11:59:16

Day6 - I am often referred to as Hyacinth Bouquet by H and friends, nice to know I am not the only one.

Please do not get me started on the lavatory seat!!!

My ACs refer to DH and I as Howard and Hilda ( from Ever Decreasing Circles) We don't think we are like them, but who knows?

Eglantine21 Sun 16-Sept-18 12:39:01

At work once I said I thought I was Victoria Wood and a colleague said ‘Oh no, you’re more like Mary Poppins.”

I hope this refererred to my ability to get things done and not to a general level of bossiness!

If anyone annoys me I tend to go all 'Margot Leadbetter' from the good life.

But in real life I'm a lot more Felicity Kendall in welly boots and holey jumpers. grin

In my head I'm Marilyn Monroe. In reality I'm Calamity Jane. Someone once said to me 'oh dear, if it's going to happen, it's going to happen to you isn't it?' smile

I can relate to that KatyK I would like to be Victoria Stillwell, in reality I am more Frank Spencer.

Chewbacca Sun 16-Sept-18 16:02:52

My boss calls me Hetty Wainthrop. I can see what he means.

Teetime Sun 16-Sept-18 16:02:56

Jane10 Sun 16-Sept-18 16:11:34

KatyK Sun 16-Sept-18 16:16:32

I love these!

janeainsworth Sun 16-Sept-18 16:18:52

As a child I was known as Dolly Daydream.
It wasn’t meant in a nice way either grin

morethan2 Sun 16-Sept-18 16:29:04

People say I am like Julie Walters, I can see the resemblance myself. I’m like the waitress in some her sketches. People are too kind and polite to say that, so they just say “oh your like Julie Walters’

MissAdventure Sun 16-Sept-18 17:05:09

Menopaws Sun 16-Sept-18 17:14:06

BlueBelle Sun 16-Sept-18 17:28:57

tinaf1 Sun 16-Sept-18 21:51:05

I've been told I am like " nan " the character portrayed by Catherine Tate ! ? and yes I can let rip with some fruity language

Nanabilly Mon 17-Sept-18 09:14:28

My last boss called me his "Indiana Jones" as I was always getting him out of trouble and sticking up for him in meetings . He was a very weak man so someone had to do it.

JessK Mon 17-Sept-18 09:52:09

My dear OH calls me Delia Smith as my baking is legendary! If I was male I'm sure it would be King Arthur!

henetha Mon 17-Sept-18 09:54:28

I've been compared to Wendy Craig more than once,
particularly in Butterflies.

Jalima1108 Mon 17-Sept-18 10:25:55

I was 'Dilly Daydream' too according to DM - or 'Calamity Jane' (that's me smile)

I would really like to be Kate Adie, intelligent, sensible, decisive and adventurous.
And blonde with lovely hair.

Greyduster Mon 17-Sept-18 10:42:25

I’m afraid it would have to be no nonsense Stephanie Cole!

janeainsworth Mon 17-Sept-18 13:57:36

jalima Do you remember that song
‘Little Dolly Daydream tried to ride a bike
She tumbled off, she tumbled off...’
I once tried googling it & nothing came up so perhaps Dad just made it up grin

gillybob Mon 17-Sept-18 14:06:16

I think maybe I am just a one off?

I have tried googling miserable cow characters in their 50's and so far no luck.
