saying get set to steal Holly Willoughby's style. Now had it said get ready to steal Judy Dench's (insert your style icon of choice) style I might be racing down to M&S as I type. Why do they never learn?

Pittcity Mon 10-Sept-18 15:05:52

Can we steal Holly's figure too?

KatyK Mon 10-Sept-18 15:15:45

I got that email too. Holly is everywhere at the moment

KatyK Mon 10-Sept-18 15:16:35

Mind you, I love the pink coat she is wearing.

kittylester Mon 10-Sept-18 15:26:00

So did I Katy!

petra Mon 10-Sept-18 16:00:31

The style looks very similar to the tan and navy ones which I have. Very versatile coats.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 10-Sept-18 16:06:04

I will have a look, hopefully things can only get better with M & S, as surely they cannot get any worse.

lemongrove Mon 10-Sept-18 17:22:53

who is she?

Luckygirl Mon 10-Sept-18 17:37:31

Who indeed?

I bought 2 jumpers in M&S on Saturday. Lovely colours and good quality fabrics. Very pleased!

I got that email too and didn't even open it as I am never going to look like her.... (and am happy as I am anyway) I don't want to steal anyone's style.

keffie Tue 11-Sept-18 07:51:48

I don't shop at M & S (except for fitted bras) so I shan't be stealing or buying anything from there.

It's another stuck in the past store for me! Then I am more of a boho vintage dresser so it wouldn't be my type of shop anyway

An email intended only for the dedicated followers.

I got the e-mail too, just another example of how M&S have lost the plot.

kittylester Tue 11-Sept-18 08:23:09

Which jumpers Jane, if you've found the good ones please share. Having said that, I've just ordered a pair of slippers!

Rosiebee Tue 11-Sept-18 08:23:54

I went into M&S last week, ready to spend but after an hour, came out with nothing. So much hideous polyester and even stuff that looked and felt like crimplene. Coats and knitwear still ok but rest of clothing a total turn off and Per Una dull, dull dull. Would love to have asked the buyers about their choices. Before new season they had so much sale stuff it was unbelievable and I think they'll have a similar situation after this season. Sorry, Holly who?????

Harris27 Tue 11-Sept-18 08:40:03

They just don't listen so whatever happens it serves them right! Emails to them come back thanking you for your comments to be passed on but obviously go on n the bin!!!!

Funnygran Tue 11-Sept-18 08:45:03

Another one who walks round M&S and then comes out empty handed. Last week there seemed to be lots of very mediocre colours and styles. Although I did book a bra fitting which is about the only department I use at the moment.

Sheilasue Tue 11-Sept-18 08:50:19

Hope that haven’t got rid of twiggy did like some of her designs.
Must admit though it’s getting harder and harder to find anything I like in there. I did get one jumper.
Then I went into primark and got a cardi for me and a jumper for gd.

LuckyFour Tue 11-Sept-18 08:58:14

I do buy clothes from M&S perhaps because I struggle to find another shop in town which has as much choice and sizes. I'm 5ft 3in and struggle to find dresses and jeans etc that are not too long.. In all fairness the High street would be devastated if M&S were to go.

Teetime Tue 11-Sept-18 09:05:42

M & S is a food place as far as I'm concerned.

Rosieroe Tue 11-Sept-18 09:16:41

Much as I admire Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield as presenters on This Morning, I’m getting to the stage where I switch off when I see them because they’re absolutely everywhere on tv. I don’t particularly blame them for raking in the millions while they are at the pinnacle of their popularity, but for goodness sake give other people a chance at a job now and again.

Yes, admittedly a nice coat, but would it look as good on me? Probably not! ?

GabriellaG Tue 11-Sept-18 09:22:00

I received that email too and bought jeggings, a white shirt and white tee-shirt in the last sale which I'm very happy with. Quality material. Another poster mentioned buying slippers from M&S. I bought 3 pairs of shoes last year, real suede ankle-strap heels for 1/3 price in sale. You can guess that I usually shop in their sales.
I prefer Zara, River Island, Mango and my all time favourite, Primark, however, I do find some nice pieces in John Lewis including a long grey Bruce Oldfield trench which is wonderful.
The photo shows Primark suede look slippers bought 3 years ago. Never needed washing and with sturdy soles. A fab buy at £4. I also bought them in 2 other colours.

Mary59nana Tue 11-Sept-18 09:24:40

Oh no not HW again she is everywhere and do is PS
Surly there must be a long list of new faces waiting to come onto our screen and do a wonderful job.
I for one won’t be switching on to I’m a celeb this year.
Oh and I don’t want to dress like her as I’m very happy in my own style.

Received the same Sparks message. It's obvious M & S are trying to attract the 40 something age bracket with this new line. Don't think it will work as everyone knows the amount of pampering that goes on with TV stars to have them look how they do. Did spend some time yesterday in M & S and found nothing of interest at all. The mustard colour popular just now is awful and the garish designs are just that - garish.
