When I bought my new car, I wanted a bright colour , easily visible in a car park. There wasn't a great deal of choice for the model, so I bought a leaf green one. Much to my surprise, it's come with a great bonus----people don't seem to like parking next to it and I can only assume that it's because of the colour. At least half of the time, even in a busy car park, there is a space left on one or both sides. The other day, when I went to the garden centre, I pulled into a space next but one to a car whose driver was just getting out of the drivers seat. She took one look at my car, got back in and moved her car to the next row ! I think I look quite normal and had never seen her before--honestly ! I know that there is a superstition about the colour green for weddings, but cars?? Anyway, my SiL swears that he's going to buy a green car next time; it will save him a small fortune in getting "dings" repaired.
Aah! I could definitely stamp and shout at the moment!
