A beautiful apricot sunrise here in Norfolk this morning. Apparently the colour is due to the wild fires in Western Canada. Smoke coming from halfway around the world.

The grand dogs woke me at half past five this morning full of the joys of spring. Perhaps they know they’re going home today!

North Leicestershire is bright and looks promising.

We are aiming to garden today but DH is sneezing and I have a sore back so that might not happen.

Lamb tagine, rice and salad for dinner.

Good morning from Lancashire, looking calm this morning, the weather has been so lovely the last few days. Family are coming for lunch, roast chicken followed by apple pie, plenty of ice cream in the freezer but I know they'll want custard.
Sleeping in front of the tv Mick, you won't be the only one .

The sun is shining here in N. Bucks but a bit of a nip in the air. Forecast to be a very pleasant day.
I have a friend coming for coffe and DD1 and family will be here for dinner .

Good morning Mick, Annie to come, and all here. As Gagagran says, another lovely Sept. morning. Out to church this morning and coffee with our lovely friends. Maybe a garden centre calls later, that would be nice. Steak and ale casserole tonight, courtesy of the freezer. To one and all, have a lovely day.

Good morning Mick and all, it dull and mild here in Glasgow. DH set the heating to come on for an hour and now it's like a hothouse.
DD and financé coming early to help move the freezer into the new utility room. Of course they will be looking for breakfast and a read of the papers.?
I plan to make jam, Eton mess with the addition of some brambles and pack for my forthcoming holiday.
My sympathies Kitty, my back is aching too.
I'm worried we haven't heard from Panache. She always brightened up my morning, despite how unwell she felt.
I PMd her days ago, but nothing and she always replied promptly in the past.

A slight mist over the marsh this morning but it promises a nice day.
DH has gone to the plot. He may return with more tomatoes. Youngest GS and he harvested loads the other day and we have all had his homemade soup for lunch past 3 days. Sadly his plumbs and the brambles that grow in the field along the border of his plot have been harvested by someone else

Good morning from Birmingham, where it is hot and sunny, although it’s black over Bill’s mother’s. I had another night of coughing and sneezing. I took a jar of honey to bed and everything I woke up with a sore throat I ate a spoonful.it helped my throat, but now I have a sticky mess on the bedside table!

A bit of a dull start on the NE coast this morning but promises of another lovely, warm and sunny day . A few odd jobs to do around the house today and maybe a walk later .

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Sunny here in South Yorkshire. Junior footie season is under way again and we are off to their first match this morning, if you don’t count the pre season friendly, which was a disaster of epic proportions! The Art show at the Botanical Gardens yesterday was wonderful - had a job to hold my bank balance in check! Dora infuse some grated fresh ginger in boiling water, add honey and lemon and drink it. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Have a good day, folks!

Thank you, Greyduster. I had a hot toddy with whisky before bed, and the spoonfuls of honey did help. Having a quiet day today, preparing Italian session for Tuesday’s meeting. I am going to read an Inspector Montalbano story and make a vocabulary list. Then I am going to clean my fridge. I’m finding displacement activities so I don’t think about tomorrow’s breast scan recall.

Good morning everyone -It’s pretty dull and overcast here in the East Of Fife. However we had such a lovely lunch yesterday with our friends (indoors and not as I hoped alfresco) that I’m going to rest up today. Just love these moments good food, good wine and good friends.

I am still in bed!!
You are allowed to call me a lazy mare, I am not bothered, so there.
My H was very challenging last week, 4 falls in 8 days.
I was exhausted so the duty SW arranges for him to go early to respite care.
He was going on Monday but I took him after lunch yesterday.
I got home at 3pm, went to lie on my bed, and woke up at 6.30.
I had a simple meal, chatted to my D and then my S, watched rubbish tv and came to bed.
I woke when my internal alarm woke me just before 7am, remembered I didn't have to get up and went back to sleep.
I woke again at 8.38am.
It is bliss, would I want this to be permanent?
I really don't know.

Soak it up while you can, Ann. Don’t rush to get up. Have a lovely peaceful Sunday harvesting your inner resources ?.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Just put the recycling out and it's warm enough in just Pjs.
I'll have some ice cream Nana3 as I've found a box of cones in the cupboard while making a shopping list.

Good morning everyone! Back to work tomorrow for a month or so which will be a shock to the system . Today is yet more ironing and general tidying up so that we are all neat and tidy. Must sort out respectable clothes too - jeans and baggy tops are my usual go to these days!

Had a lovely evening at Birmingham Symphony Hall, last night, seeing Imelda May, Texas and Ward Thomas.

My DS and his girls are coming over for tea and picking up Mum on the way, hoping to have a BBQ!

Good morning all, warm and sunny in SE Essex.

D is so much better, has cut out the heavy duty pain relief which were making her feel sick and spaced out. She cannot drive for 3 weeks so not yet totally independent. Best of all she can cuddle her DS.

Thank you annsixty, I hope you are able to relax and catch up with yourself now that your H is in respite care.

It is extremely exhausting both mentally and physically taking care of our loved ones. My Mum felt so guilty when my SF had to eventually go into a care home (vascular dementia) she was already poorly herself and couldn't cope.

Take this time to be kind to yourself, if you feel like doing absolutely nothing that's what you should do ???
